POSTS STORIES REELS

Years ago, I went through postpartum depression. Even during my pregnancy, I battled intense morning sickness that drained me physically and emotionally. What made it even harder was that I had no guide. No knowledge of what was happening to me. No idea what to do or where to turn.

By the time I gave birth, I was already exhausted. And then came the anxiety that didn’t make sense. I was confused. I was worried. But I carried everything silently.

Months later, I began having honest conversations with other mums and I realised this was a real thing. I heard stories of how postpartum had wrecked marriages, shaken identities, and almost ruined lives.

In fact, it’s one of the reasons I started building communities for mums. Because I kept meeting women who were doing it alone, just like I did.

Yes, more people are talking about postpartum now, and I’m grateful for that shift. But there are still women who don’t know what postpartum depression is. Still women who think the anxiety is just weakness. Still women silently asking themselves, “Why am I like this?”

I want to add my voice, and my unique story to the growing number of women speaking up.

Because awareness matters.

Support matters.

And honest stories matter.

If you’re building something that truly supports mothers, my DMs are open.

Let’s do something that matters. 🌸

Allow me to reintroduce myself to you🤭

I’ve shared a bit of myself in this post and now I’d love to hear yours too.

I want to get to know you so, where are you from? And what do you do?

Sometimes, we forget how far we’ve come.

This is for the days you feel behind, unsure, or invisible in your own story.

A gentle reminder:
You didn’t come this far to stop.
You’re not late.
You’re becoming.

This letter isn’t just to me, it’s to every woman who’s rebuilding, showing up messy, healing loudly or quietly, and daring to start again.
You are not alone. You’re doing better than you think.

💛 Save this for the days you forget who you are. Tag someone who needs this reminder too.

I don’t know about this particular image of Jesus lol 😂 but the message? Very accurate.

Now, I don’t know about Jesus saying I yelled at Him yesterday either, but the part about me trying to take over EVERY. SINGLE. DAY? Guilty.

Surrender sounds beautiful until God’s plan isn’t moving according to your timeline or looking anything like the plan you created in your head.

So here I am, reminding myself again: no matter what happens, it’s all going to be okay. I’m at peace with the plan. I trust Jesus. 🙏🏽

Even when I’m still tempted to “help” Him manage it 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one who gives God control, then quietly tries to take it back?

Happy Friday 🌼

One thing I am learning to stop feeling guilty about is enjoying time by myself.

Self-care doesn’t always have to be elaborate. Sometimes it is getting your favourite drink, buying yourself flowers or simply enjoying five quiet minutes when nobody is asking you for anything.

Those small moments count too.

What does simple self-care look like for you?

Sometimes it isn’t one major thing.

It is the noise, the questions, the touching, the decisions and several people needing something from you—without a pause between one need and the next.

I love that my children see me as a safe place. I never want them to feel as though they cannot come to me. But I am also learning that being their safe place does not require me to ignore the signals coming from my own body.

Sometimes I need to say:

“I want to listen to you properly, but Mummy needs ten quiet minutes first.”

That pause doesn’t make me an unavailable mother. Sometimes it is what allows me to return as a more present one.

Can you relate? What tends to overstimulate you most at home?

For a while, I thought motherhood had changed me so much that I needed to “find myself” again.

But perhaps I was never lost.

I have simply lived, loved, stretched, healed, learned and grown. I became softer in some places, stronger in others—and far more intentional about protecting my peace and choosing joy.

I’m not trying to return to the woman I used to be. I honour her, but I’m also learning to embrace the woman I am becoming.

I didn’t lose her.
She evolved. ✨

And honestly? I really like her. 🤎

Have you ever felt as though you needed to “find yourself” again after becoming a mother?

Can we stop putting the responsibility on new mums to ask for help?

Instead of saying, “Let me know if you need anything,” think about what you can do and simply do it.

Something I will always say is, support doesn’t always have to be big.

If you know a pregnant mum or a new mum, this is your reminder to show up with intention. 💛

No one handed me this when I became a mother, and I know I wasn’t the only one. So, I made it for you.

The truth is, your wellness deserves attention too. Not someday, not when life feels less demanding, but here and now, with grace.

Save this, revisit it often, and share it with a mother who may need the reminder.

I’d love to know, which part spoke to your heart the most? 💛

When a new mum is running on two hours of sleep and healing from birth, well-meaning comments can sometimes feel like pressure to keep it all together.
Phrases like “you’ll bounce back” or “just enjoy every moment” come from a place of love, but they can accidentally make a mum feel like she isn’t allowed to struggle.

When you’re in the thick of the fourth trimester, you don’t need toxic positivity. You need to feel seen, safe, and given permission to be messy.
Supporting a new mum isn’t about having the magic words, it’s about taking the guesswork off her plate and showing up without making her ask.

Which of these shifts resonates with you the most? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
Save this post for the next time you’re prepping a meal or heading out the door to visit a new mama.

I don’t talk about maternal wellness to be dramatic, I talk about it because I’ve listened to stories that stay with you long after the conversation ends.

Stories of women who did everything right, yet faced challenges no mother should ever have to face, stories that remind us that where a woman gives birth should never determine whether she lives to raise her child.

These are not just statistics, they are mothers, families, dreams, and futures.

If you work in healthcare, policy, education, or advocacy, I’d love to connect. Let’s do more than have conversations, let’s work together to create lasting change.

Share this if you believe every mother deserves better, because she does.

Some days after and I’m still not over their kind words yet. 💛🤗Watching clips from that day and still blown away. I love my babies so much, and I’m proud to be their best mum in the world 🥰🥰🥰.

What has your kids said to you before, that still stayed with you after many days.
