Big love to my @vanmuralfest @winterartsfest team who arranged 600 folks to sing happy birthday for my 40th! 😂🤩 Such a wonderful night. (And turns out I share a birthday with the doberpincher security dog.) taken in Vancouver Art Gallery by @hey__ac

He’s here! A second gorgeous little human to round out our family. We call him Otis Dante Cooper Curtis. Oats for short.

I haven’t yet explained to him yet that people didn’t always used to wear masks everywhere, or that we were able to have a house full of guests when his brother was born. I didn’t tell him that the heat he experienced in utero was the hottest on record, or what it did to all the shellfish. We talked about the first Truth & Reconciliation Day together, but he was just 6 days old, so baby steps. Bringing kiddos into this world comes with new approaches to big conversations…. But we’ll talk about all these things, and more. And do our best to be conscientious humans at the least, and game-changing at best.

I can’t wait for him to meet you all. I was scrolling social, reminded how amazing my network of humans is, and I just had to let you all know that he’s here now. Welcome Otis! ❤️ by @hey__ac
