ICYMI we had a blast at @bukovbrestobar 🔥🔥🔥

My favorite thing about being a DJ is getting everyone to dance and feel so free on the dancefloor. I call it the Alecka effect. Bring back dancing!

Here are some upcoming sets:
Sep 27: Sunday Funday @seasiderawbarvb 3-7p
Oct 4: TBA
Oct 10: Electric Relaxation @lasreinascocinahampton 10p

Come out and dance! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾

I've been randomly DJing around the 757 and here's how it's going. From open decks at a coffee shop to underground scenes to house night to playing at my first ever festival (!!!)

Much love and gratitude to everyone who's been tapping me on the shoulder to give opportunities 🥹💖 Special shoutout to @kelo.info @scottt.free @dannyhaze.music @j.ashlandjames for putting me on!! It's because of you all I know there's soooooo much more coming! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ taken in Hampton Roads, Virginia by @heyalecka

I remember when I first heard this build up I almost left my body 🕴🏾 The best part of being a DJ is exposing others the the great music I dig up. If you're feeling this vibe then head over to my YouTube channel (link in bio) to hear the full set (and many others). You're welcome 🤭 taken in Fort James, Antigua and Barbuda by @heyalecka

My last filmed set is live on YouTube! It was so much fun bringing people together for some fun sunset house and AfroTech vibes at Fort James, Antigua. Relive the action at the link in my bio!

Many thanks to @samorij for the amazing shots 🤩 taken in Fort James, Antigua and Barbuda by @heyalecka

Last week I uploaded my second ever visual mix and what a time we had at sunset at Fort James Antigua 🙌🏾🇦🇬

I feel so privileged to be able to record a set in my home country with family and friends. People pulled up with their chairs and their drinks and we all enjoyed the sunset together at one of Antigua's infamous historical sites. Who wants another one? 👀

Click on the link in my bio to relive the unforgettable vibe and don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss out on the next one! taken in Antigua and Barbuda by @heyalecka

I’ve been home for about a month now and here’s how it’s going

Too long, don’t wanna swipe? It’s been a little bit of everything:

- a little bit of hanging
- a little bit of seaside therapy
- a little bit of comfort food
- a little bit of running into @global_gyal every 2 business days
- a little bit of DJing
- a little bit of hair therapy
- a little bit of going out
- a little bit of randomly meeting Jamaica Kincaid and having a 2 hour conversation
- a LOT of mosquitoes by @heyalecka
