A Whimsical Girl Summer | Part Two

What made this summer so whimsical was being obedient to the voice of the Lord. ✨

Most of this would not have happened if I chose to do things my own way. 🙅‍♀️

The whimsy was found in waking up and saying, “Jesus, what do you want to do today?” 🧐

Not consumed with the past 😶‍🌫️

Not fretting the future 🔮

Just being content with what was given 😌

Hoping to carry this whimsy into autumn and beyond. 💛🐝✨

…

I have so many stories to share about this summer. If you want to hear more about what Jesus taught me; shoot me a message 💬

Otherwise, stay tuned for the songs that tell the stories of this beautiful summer 👀 by @heyitsarahmae

“The Lord makes her wilderness like Eden…” -Isaiah 51:3 🌼🌱✨

Story can be told in many ways; through photos and color, music and words, and even the look on your face.

The past few years I’ve collected a lot of memories. I have tons of tales to tell, yet somehow the story seems to be just beginning… taken in RoozenGaarde by @heyitsarahmae

Some Australian packer fan at a pep rally in downtown Seattle said the head scarf was a good look for me.

It’s happened, I’m officially a headscarf girlie 🤪

Without light, there is no color.
Without THE LIGHT, we have no color. 💕🌷🌞✝️

In the beginning God said, “let there be light” and there was, and it was good. This physical light gave us the opportunity to see the beautiful world He was about to create. Land, Sky, & Sea, filled with color, life, and vibrancy. We all see it and can appreciate its beauty.
🌏🌦️🌊🦋

However, there is a second light, a spiritual light. In John 9:5 Jesus says He is “the light of the world”. God sent Jesus, the light, to show us how to shine and impart this spiritual light to us through His sacrifice on the cross.✝️🙌

When Jesus died and resurrected it not only extinguished darkness, but it gave us the opportunity to become the light of the world (Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬)! Now, when we make Jesus Lord of our life, we have The Light inside of us!🔆

On this BEAUTIFUL Earth Day, I pray you not only ponder the beauty we’re able to see because of the PHYSICAL light but because of the SPIRITUAL light too! I encourage you, if you have The Light inside you, don’t runaway from it or hide it away. There’s freedom, joy, and peace for you when you bask in the glory of the Son of God! Be just like these beautiful tulips spinning in the light, emitting vibrant color! 🌷💛

ABUNDANT LIFE!🔆

What a beautiful Holy Week! This year God was highlighting to me the words “ABUNDANT LIFE”.

How sweet it was to not only receive deeper understanding of the abundant life we have in Jesus; but also, to watch others choose abundant life and make a public declaration to Jesus with Baptism!🌊

(Plus it was my FIRST TIME baptizing, such a special moment 🥹🥰)

Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was not just to secure our future in heaven; it was also to BRING ABUNDANT LIFE ON EARTH. 🌏

When you accept Jesus as your savior and choose to turn from your sinful, self-centered ways and follow Him; YOUR OLD SELF IS NAILED ONTO THE CROSS AND BURIED WITH CHRIST. ✝️⚰️

However, we know Jesus didn’t stay in the tomb, He was brought to life! In the same way, YOU don’t need to stay in the tomb either. 🌅

So how do we participate in this abundant life?

Jesus promised to send The Helper, Holy Spirit.🕊️ When we choose to walk in step with Holy Spirit we are receiving the help that Jesus left for us. Being obedient to His leading brings FREEDOM and TRUE ABUNDANT LIFE! 💃

Often the enemy will enter in and use shame, fear, or distrust to convince you that your old life was better or you don’t deserve your new life. He will STEAL, KILL, & DESTROY the abundant life Jesus died for; Don’t let him! 👊

FIGHT BACK WITH FAITH!💥Get in community, journal, read truth in the scriptures, pray and ask Holy Spirit to help, worship God through music or in nature.⚡️

Remember, if you are in Christ you are a NEW creation! YOU ARE WORTHY OF AN ABUNDANT LIFE free from guilt, fear, shame etc. Jesus’ sacrifice has been and will always be enough! 🙌

If you’d like prayer surrounding this topic or don’t know what it means to accept Jesus as your savior; feel free to direct message me! I’d LOVE to have a conversation with you in truth and love 🙏💛

Blessings ✨
