I remember from a young age loving to be celebrated but hating to be the center of attention. By the end of grade school I dreaded my birthday and through high school onward, outside of family dinner celebrating, I omitted cake and present birthdays with friends all together. If you’re familiar with @timmchiusano he recently made a video about why people hate birthdays and I resonated with half of them, mostly the sad ones (yikes). Over the past year things have changed. My life is full of celebration and joy because of the people I keep company with and Jesus really knew what He was doing giving them to me. And yes, I did make a giant cinnamon roll for my ‘cake’ this year. The days surrounding my birthday have culminated in feeling the most celebrated and seen without being the center of attention in a long time. Here’s to another year, thanking Jesus always for all He has done. And I promise, we did have a family birthday dinner, but we only got one photo so you’ll just have to trust. #thankyoujesus #friendslikefamily #peepthenewhair

YALL next friday is gonna be a glorious evening of music @ the palmer house 😎😻🗣️🎷 the great talents @elise.marie113 and @heyitsarahmae will be doing sets of original music and I will be playing some tunes with the illustrious guitar stylings of @calvinhuynh_ and the nationally acclaimed EE ‘26 bass legend, king of the quarter note @marcusarthurt 🤣 (but fr he so filthy)

We will be performing some of the lesser known selections in the songbook of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, as well as paying homage to the bebop tradition in the spirit of Charlie Parker and Bud Powell. You won’t wanna miss it😏

All ages welcome! Hope to see you there @ 7pm, love y’all❤️

In mid 2024 I started going to a prayer group in Seattle and by January of 2025 my life was set in fast motion. I asked the Lord to make me His vessel, He emptied me and filled me with Himself. He asked me if I trusted Him, I said yes, and that prompted action towards living out trust. I told Him He was my Provider, and through removing everything, I saw Him provide, and prepare me to receive more than I could have believed to be given. I’ve learned more about His Peace in a place and His Love in relationships more than I could have imagined. This post is merely a fly by, a .2% of what my life has been becoming with the Lord. Here’s to this next year, I’m excited for the joy that is to come.

The rollercoaster ride started with leaving a church after 10yrs, and the Lord provided a deep and wide community of brothers and sisters that I daily thank Him for. I left my day job, and the Lord gave me True Rest, and an opportunity to ‘stay hidden’ in Him. I had an Easter that lasted from 4:30a-11p across four people groups and it was the most beautiful and magnificent experience to watch His people declaring ‘He is risen!’ My beloved Ford Bessy took her last trip, I know it’s silly but she was my literal ride or die, and the Lord sent Subaru Daisy at exactly the right time in the most perfect way. I declared a new home church, I’m already growing and learning so much. I’ve moved out and back in with my parents for a short season and I’m ready to not see another cardboard box. And to top it all, I ended the year watching Nacho Libre, doing arts and crafts, dancing, and eating grapes under the table with the girls I’ve grown with.

So here’s my re entry to the grid, may God bless and keep you, the best is yet to come ❤️

Getting a 5 pack of film for Christmas was a great gift. With 4 months away from next Christmas I’m down to one roll…

1. Tracking saxophone for my buddy @cbsalmons new project at the incredible @cloviscollege studio!

2. Kolson is a champ and brought loads of ice packs to help my 2015 MacBook Pro stop overheating at our outdoor worship nights. Gotta love these 100° Clovis summers.

3. The thing I keep learning about surfing is that it’s really hard. these dudes are good at it and I pray they are blessed for listening to me whine about how hard surfing is the whole time we’re out there.

4. My cousin @cardoso.erin made some incredible handmade sourdough pizza crust and it made for a sweet Fourth of July in San Diego.

5. Last worship night with the shredder @annelieserosenthal

6. a greenroom pic w/ the incredible @andysquyres

7. I had the joy of helping with a songwriting camp with some friends @studiowestsd

8. 🐈

9. @mendocinofarms has a kids table and @k0ok0okach0o and @heyitsarahmae were game to eat our entire meal in those tiny chairs. It was very uncomfortable.

10. 🎸

11. A family trip to Belize! Fun fact: Belize has two airlines and one of their airports centers around a giant fish tank.

12. Our Airbnb’d had its own pier. I saw a massive southern stingray off it!

13. The honeymooners enjoying that pier.

14. Adam is a good friend so sometimes I wake up at 6am to play drums for his church. I love playing drums.

15. Mitch brings his mug to The Mug. 🐐 I’m thankful to know him.

16. What I learned about Belize is most people in America don’t know where it is (myself included) and don’t ask the locals about the alligators unless you want to hear some stories you won’t forget.

17. Cayucos is heavenly and I often forget I can drive there in a couple hours for the day. #californiaproblems

18. A growing fam. 🥤

19. The King’s River.

20. This is my 15 year old dog, Wes. If you don’t know Wes you’re missing out. I carry him to the bathroom every day because he is crippled and I don’t want to put him down but his days are few.
