47/52 - Out of My Mind by @heyitspeacep

Let me tell yall about this artist!! I really love everything about her. Peace has a rich voice with a wide range that can mold of any genre! Her lyrics are filled with imagery and passion! I really love this particular song because she RAPS!! She’s never done that before and she killed it!! She got some music coming out later this year, so be on the look out for this multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter!

See what I did there! This is all about me!!

I’m so proud of what I have done this year! I am proud of the body of work that I’ve been creating over the past 1.5 years! This song was one that my professor challenged and pushed me to explore where I could take it! Needless today, I love how this came out! If you wanna hear the full song, you’ll have to watch my senior show from last December! It’s called “Love in All the Seasons,” and it’s on my YouTube channel! Link in bio! Check it out and leave me a comment!!!

“Colors set before me all arranged in a row
They twist and wind and bend till they become a rainbow
What once were single shades, together made something sweet
So as all my experiences had crafted a new me”

I went to my dream school and it was nothing short of remarkable! The past 3 years have been full of joy, hope, and gratitude! I’ve met and made amazing friends in online classes that I got to fangirl over during the ceremony!! I’ve had incredible professors that have POURED INTO me and LOVED me. They have seen me at my most vulnerable and creative phases. They have championed my voice and my innate abilities allowing me to freely craft beautiful music.

Thank you! @berkleeonline @berkleecollege!

My little human is officially 7 YEARS OLD!!!

My Taquito Nightwing wanted a simple birthday this year. She wanted to go to a cabin and “camp” with her bestie!! She wanted to get in a hot tub and roast marshmallows to make s’mores in the quiet of the woods. Talk about a kid that knows what she wants! Shout out to my girl @lauraann310 and her hubs for hanging with us for the weekend!!

A lot of times I think my kid has grown up taste! But honest, she just knows what she wants, no matter what it is. She is selective about her friends, clothes and her personal space. She commands respect in the most direct and loving way. She doesn’t mince her words and she will not water down who she is for you! She is a dream!!

Happy 7th Birthday Darling!

46/52 - Evergreen by @yebbasmith

Yebba is smooth and so full of soul. She is a storyteller and a powerhouse. I love listening to her and so do my kids. Whenever I listen to her I feel emotionally immersed in the songs. It’s like you feel it in your bones. I don’t need to tell you to go listen, but I will anyway!!! Go listen!!!

Sooooooo……I did a thing! I actually submitted an audition video for BGVs for her!! Lately, I’ve been on a kick of submitting. It’s not about whether or not I’ll get the gig. The scary part is always the first step and this year I plan on taking a bunch of them! This is house all journeys begin, with one step! Enjoy my audition!

Love ya peeps!! 😘

45/52 - Dive by @oliviadeano

There is something that is just warm and fuzzy about Ms. Olivia Dean! Her voice is a cozy blanket over my ears! This is the song that drew me to her and I’ve been hooked ever since!

Party people!! My piano skills are just growing like wild flowers and I love the feeling! I’m writing more (soon to share) and figuring myself out musically. It’s been a delight deep diving into my musical mind. It’s quite scary and exciting!

We’re going streaking babyyyy!!!

Eric and @_araxxcely_ and @damill15 held it down, with the first of our four injured players returning in style. Thanks to the Peach Passers for a fun night, and next week we’ll look to make it 3 in a row.

44/52 - Blue Skies by @firstladyofsong Ella Fitzgerald originally by Irving Berlin

Ella Fitzgerald is a national treasure. Her voice and style are both iconic in their delivery and skill! I love listening to her sing! She could sing the ABCs and I’d be giddy! Jazz is so cool and special because you are allowed to make something completely your own. In jazz, individuality and creativity are celebrated.

I thought I knew a lot of jazz until I took a class and learned even more! This was one of the songs we got to share. It’s one of my personal favorites!

Happy Wednesday, Peeps 😘

43/52 - Seasons by @madisonryannward

I’m pretty sure that every song snippet that I post, I’m in love with the artist! This one is no different! I LOVE Madison Ryann Ward. Her voice is warm and yummy and her love for God is inspiring! This run that she does on this track is almost I’m possible and that means I gotta try! Go be blessed and check her out!

I wrapped up this semester feeling so down about my performances for school. After reviewing them with my amazingly talented professor, it’s clearly in my head. I’m learning to be less hypercritical of myself and enjoy to GOOD GIFT that God gave me! Shout out to @berkleeonline and @avarner!

Anywho, Happy Tuesday! See ya, Peeps 🐥😘
