three years ago i visited Denmark for the first time and stayed in this charming cabin with a huge window angled toward sunrise and sunset 🌅 didn’t make it back this year but i’m so happy to see that @koppesmoelle is still thriving!

⛵️ one of my favorite memories from this trip is not captured in photos. on our second full day, we visited the royal library, which is housed in an angular glass building called the black diamond. we wanted to find somewhere to draw and journal, but some of the study rooms seemed restricted to students and researchers only. so i asked the help desk, where is somewhere quiet but beautiful that you would recommend going? she pointed us to the old reading room, one of the rooms that was roped off. the signs are to keep tourists from taking photos, she said. as long as you’re quiet, you can go in. with glee, steve and I cracked the tall heavy doors and slipped into the room with little green reading lamps at every desk. bookshelves and stone busts and glass pane windows lined the room. titles i spotted: a history of hungarian literature, and irish dreams. we found seats across from each other at a sturdy wood communal desk, and got to writing. i could’ve easily snuck a photo of steve looking so happy in there. but i decided to keep the moment sacred, preserve it in my mind and notes instead. by @hi_amelia

planned my own bun run around copenhagen, in which i 1) ran my buns off 2) ate buns along the way 🥐🥮

steve met me at each stop by bike and helped me gobble up every last crumb. cafés were @andersenmaillard, @skipper_bageri, @flerefugle_bageri_og_butik, & @lokalcph. my only regret is that I didn’t stop at more!!!!
