Friday nights are for the boys. 🤙🍻

Started the evening talking story with a uncle I met outside of 7Eleven, and before we headed out, he was kind enough to hand me a beer. It was one of those small moments that reminded me what makes Hawaiʻi special.

Out here, you don’t always have to know someone to be treated like family. A little kindness, a little conversation, and plenty of aloha that’s the kind of culture I hope never changes.

Just a reminder: I’m over 21, and this wasn’t while riding. If you’re going to enjoy a drink, do it responsibly. Never drink and ride your e-bike. The ride can always wait, but getting home safe is what matters most.

Here’s to good people, good conversations, and keeping the aloha alive. 🌺⚡

You never know what you’re going to see on a ride in Hawaiʻi. 😂🤙

Came across one of the island’s many characters today a guy out on the bridge putting in work on a Razor scooter. It definitely caught me off guard and gave me a good laugh. 😂

Funny moments like this are part of what makes every ride different, but it’s also a good reminder to stay alert. Whether it’s people walking, kids playing, other riders, or the unexpected, always keep your head on a swivel and be aware of your surroundings.🧠💯

Ride with aloha, respect everyone you share the path with, and always put safety first. You never know what’s waiting around the next corner. ⚡🤙

Sometimes being a good person is as simple as looking out for somebody who might need a helping hand. 🤙🏽❤️

While I was out riding, I came across a gentleman who was blind and getting ready to cross the street.

I wanted to share this moment to bring awareness to people living with disabilities and remind everyone how important it is to look out for one another.

Something that might seem small to us can make a big difference in somebody else’s day. Whether it’s helping someone cross the road, holding a door open, offering directions, or simply asking if someone needs assistance, being a Good Samaritan doesn’t cost anything, but it can mean everything. 💯

I truly believe the energy you put into this world has a way of finding its way back to you. Good karma comes from doing good things, even when nobody is watching. Don’t help people just because you expect something in return. Help because it’s the right thing to do.

Later on, I also ran into some fellow E-Ride boys out enjoying their bikes. ⚡️🏍️ Always good seeing other riders in the community!!

And one thing I want to remind everybody, especially the younger riders, is that SAFETY ALWAYS COMES FIRST. Wear your helmet whether you’re riding on the streets, trails, or anywhere else. Respect pedestrians, watch your surroundings, and ride responsibly. Your life and the lives of those around you are worth more than any trick or ride.

Look out for those who need a hand. Look out for your fellow riders. And most importantly, look out for your community. 🤙🏽🌺

Because at the end of the day, a little kindness can go a long way, and the aloha you give has a way of coming back around. ❤️💯

It’s always fun hanging out with friends who are down for anything, especially when that means getting dirty and riding bikes through the mountains. 😂🤙🏽

Kaipo is one of those friends who’s always ready for an adventure. Whether we’re hitting the trails, climbing through the mountains, getting covered in mud, or just enjoying the ride, he’s always down to go.

Those are the kind of friends you appreciate because you never have to overthink the plans. You can call them up, say, “Let’s go ride,” and they’re already getting ready. No matter how rough the trail gets or how dirty we end up, there’s always a good time and plenty of laughs along the way.

Riding bikes through the mountains is more than just getting outside. It’s about making memories, pushing through the tough parts, enjoying the views, and having friends beside you who are willing to experience it all.

Kaipo is definitely that kind of friend. Always down for the adventure, always ready to get dirty, and always making the day more fun. 💯

Sometimes it’s the little things in life that make the biggest difference. 🤙🏽💯

Big mahalo to my friend Carlos, one of the contractors we work with, for gifting me a belt to hold my hammer while we’re pumping concrete.

It might seem like something small, but little things like this can make your everyday work easier and more convenient. What means even more is knowing you have people around you who are looking out for you.

That’s one thing I appreciate about working in this industry. Over time, the people you work with become more than just contractors, pumpers, or masons. You build friendships, trust, and relationships that go beyond the job site.

Surround yourself with people who want to see you do better, and make sure you’re that same person for someone else. 🤝🏽

You don’t always need to do something big to make an impact. Sometimes a small gesture can go a long way.

Crazy how life can bring people back into your path when you least expect it. 🤙🏽💯

I was out riding my e-bike around town when I randomly crossed paths with a highschool friend Marcelo who I probably haven’t seen in 5 years and our reaction is priceless. 😂

But this wasn’t just any old friend. This was one of my wrestling partners and someone I trained with back in high school who helped me chase my goal of becoming a state champion. 🤼‍♂️ 🥇

We spent countless hours in the wrestling room pushing each other, competing against each other, and keeping each other motivated. When one of us was tired, the other kept going. When one person worked harder, it made everybody else want to work harder too. Iron sharpens iron.

Years go by, people graduate, take different paths, and start building their own lives. Then one random day, you’re riding down the road and run into somebody who was part of an important chapter of your life.

It’s crazy because for a moment, all those high school memories come right back—the practices, the grind, the laughs, the struggles, and the people who helped shape you into who you are today.

Never forget the people who pushed you along the way. Sometimes you don’t realize how important those relationships were until years later when your paths cross again. 🤙🏽💯

Sometimes all it takes is one wave to remind you how small and connected our community really is. 🤙🏽🌺

I was out riding when I noticed another local braddah on a bike wave at me. I turned around to go say what’s up, and come to find out, I knew him from my neighbor. 😂

While I was checking in and talking story with him, someone else I knew happened to drive by and saw us too. That’s when I noticed in a tight community, somebody always knows somebody.

That’s one of the things I appreciate about living in the homestead. You see familiar faces, the younger generation knows the older generation, families know families, and people actually stop to check on each other.

Those small interactions matter. A wave, a quick conversation, asking someone if they’re good it all helps build stronger relationships and reminds people that somebody is looking out for them.

A strong community isn’t built by people just living next to each other. It’s built by people knowing, respecting, and looking out for each other. 🤙🏽💯

Keep talking story. Keep checking on your people. Keep spreading aloha. 🌺

Another day, another Uncle Paul sighting 😂🛴🤙🏽

Ran into Uncle Paul again and of course… braddah had another scooter. 🤣

These little interactions remind me why having a good relationship with the people in your community matters. Sometimes all it takes is stopping to talk story, giving somebody a compliment, asking how they’re doing, or simply treating them with respect.

You never know what somebody is going through, and you never know when you might be the one who needs someone to check on you.

The people you look out for today might be the same people looking out for you tomorrow. That’s how strong communities are built—through respect, relationships, and genuine aloha for one another.

Keep talking story. Keep checking on your people. Keep spreading aloha. 🤙🏽🌺

You never know how far being a good person will carry your name. 🤙🏽

Got to talk story with another concrete pumper operator and owner of S&S pumping, Scotty who lives right in Hawaiian homestead down the road from me and has been pumping for over 15 years. He knew my dad back when my dad was pumping as well, and my dad would even send jobs his way when he could.

That’s what I love about the concrete pumping industry here in Hawaiʻi. It’s a small, tight-knit industry. There aren’t that many pumpers, so eventually everybody knows somebody. We might work for different companies, but when someone needs help, advice, or another pump for a job, people look out for each other.

Hearing stories about my dad years later also reminds me that the way you treat people matters. Jobs come and go, companies change, and years pass—but people remember who helped them and how you treated them.💙

Now it’s our generation’s turn to keep that same aloha going. 🌺

Do good work, help people when you can, and build a name that people are happy to remember. 💯🤝🏽

One of the coolest things about growing up in a tight-knit community is realizing how connected everybody really is. 🤙🏽🌺

I was moving some rubbish off the side of the road when I ran into our younger neighbor, Mayjah. What’s funny is how our families and generations all line up.

Major was classmates with my younger sister, I was classmates with one of his older brothers, and my older brother was classmates with another one of his older brothers. 😂 Three different ages, but all of us grew up in the same generation, around the same families, school, and Hawaiian Homestead community.

That’s what makes growing up somewhere like this special. You watch each other grow up, you know each other’s brothers and sisters, and eventually the younger kids you remember become young adults themselves.

Sometimes something as simple as stopping to move rubbish turns into running into somebody you’ve known through the community your whole life.

That’s the beauty of a tight community. Different families, different ages, but generations growing up together and always crossing paths. 🤙🏽💯

Unko got an upgrade 😂🛴💯

Third or fourth time running into Unko, and every time there’s something new. This time he pulled up with a bigger scooter, so you already know I was stoked to see what he was going do with this one. 😂

Of course, Unko had to try the same trick again… except this time it didn’t exactly go according to plan. 🤣 But that’s what makes these moments so good.

It’s always good seeing familiar faces around the city. You might not know everything about someone’s life, but a quick conversation, a laugh, or simply seeing them doing their thing can brighten your day.

Unko has officially become one of those people for me. Every time I see him, there’s a new scooter, a new trick, or another story to tell. 😂🤙🏽

Sometimes it’s the random people and unexpected moments that make your community feel like home.

Crazy how one taste can bring back years of memories. 🤙🏽💯

After being away in Montana for college and finally coming back home to Hawaiʻi, I ran into the same old manapua truck I remember from my elementary school days. 😂

Seeing that truck and tasting the food again instantly took me back to being one small kid. Same kind of food, same feeling just a lot more years and life experience behind me now.

That’s the crazy thing about childhood memories. Sometimes you don’t realize how special those little moments were until you grow up, leave home, and come back. A certain smell, taste, place, or sound can bring back memories you haven’t thought about in years.

Life keeps moving, we grow up, and we go our separate ways but some things will always remind us where we came from 🌴.

Sometimes home isn’t just a place. It’s a feeling, a memory, and sometimes even the taste of an old manapua truck. 😂🤙🏽
