Our very first Summer Intensive was filled with hard work, discipline, growth, and so many special moments—and our dancers had the opportunity to see that hard work come to life at our first summer showcase. What a great turnout! Performing to a full house made the evening even more meaningful. Thank you to every family, friend, and community member who came out to celebrate our dancers and support the performing arts community we are building here at Highlander Dance Co. We are incredibly proud of our dancers and everything they accomplished this summer, and we cannot wait to continue building this beautiful arts community as we move into our Fall Session 🤍 ✍️ For registration information please email us at HighlanderDanceCo@gmail.com 📧 Here’s to our next chapter—Fall 2026. ✨ Discipline • Artistry • Strength #HighlanderDanceCo #BigBearLakeBallet #BigBearLakeDance #BigBearLakeArts #BigBearLakeKids by @highlanderdanceco
🩰 Happy World Ballet Day! Behind every graceful movement are countless moments of practice, patience, perseverance, and passion. At Highlander Dance Co., we believe ballet is more than dance. It is an art form that cultivates discipline, builds strength, inspires creativity, and teaches lessons that extend far beyond the studio. Today, we celebrate the beauty of classical ballet, the dedication of dancers around the world, and our very own young artists who are just beginning their journeys. From their first plié to their greatest achievements, we are honored to be part of their story. Happy National Dance Day 🤍🩰✨ …Before I was teacher and an artistic director, I was a dancer… Years of training, countless rehearsals, moments beneath the stage lights, and a lifelong devotion to an art form that has shaped so much of who I am. Dance taught me discipline, resilience, and the beauty of expression. It taught me that strength and grace can coexist, that growth requires dedication, and that artistry is a lifelong pursuit. Today, I have the privilege of sharing everything this beautiful art form has given me with the next generation of dancers through Highlander Dance Co. The stages may change, the roles may evolve, but the dancer in me will always remain. Once a dancer, always a dancer. - Dalar Ghanbari Founder & Artistic Director #NationalDanceDay #HighlanderDanceCo #BigBearLakeDance #BigBearLakeBallet #BigBearLakeArts by @highlanderdanceco
A night to remember. 🩰✨ Our Summer 2026 Recital was more than a performance—it was a celebration of how much our dancers have grown in such a short time. From the hours spent learning, rehearsing, correcting, and trying again, to finally stepping in front of an audience and sharing their artistry… we couldn’t be more proud. 🤍 Thank you to our dancers for their dedication, our families for supporting them every step of the way, and everyone who came to celebrate the arts with us. A very special thank you to @min_ledesma_photography for beautifully capturing these precious moments that we will cherish forever. 📸🤍 This is just the beginning. ✨ Discipline • Artistry • Strength #HighlanderDanceCo #BigBearLake #BigBearLakeBallet #BigBearLakeDance #BigBearLakeArts by @highlanderdanceco
