Following the launch of our RGS High Performance Programme with Year 10 and 11 students, we are delighted to now open applications to Year 8 and Year 9 students.
In partnership with High Performance Systems (HPS), the programme will support approximately 20 Key Stage 4 athletes, including pupils already competing on recognised high-performance pathways, as well as those demonstrating the potential, attitude and commitment to reach that level.

The 24-week Friday programme will combine:
• Physical development and performance testing
• Nutrition
• Sports psychology
• Specialist support from HPS
• High expectations around attendance, behaviour, commitment and personal responsibility
Selection will include an expression of interest, athlete interview and HPS physical testing, with places continually reviewed based on engagement.
Parents will also play an important role through selected education sessions, helping to create a joined-up approach between the athlete, school, HPS and home.
