Having worked in EMS and as a hospital patient advocate for our Latino community across all specialties, supporting grassroots community empowerment, advocacy, and social justice is a cause so close to my heart. Somewhere between mom life and building a business, I stopped showing up for myself the way I show up for everyone else 🤍

Months ago I booked myself with @style.with.ami because I knew that if I said it out loud, I’d actually follow through. That’s the whole point of accountability it’s not just calendars and client meetings, it’s the promises you keep to you too. And when you look good, you feel good, and that energy follows you into everything else.

This is episode 1 of my accountability series because staying accountable to yourself is just as important as staying accountable to your goals.

You cannot skip the cringe phase, period. Somebody’s always gonna have something to say. It’s part of the game. Everything feels cringe until someone tells you how much you inspire them to change or to start.

And this client reveal is proof of that. Not just the founder on camera, but the whole team stepping way outside their comfort zone together. We strategized for it, we executed. love showing others how fun this can actually be once you push past that first recording.

Nobody starts confident. People just decide to keep going anyway, especially when there’s such an important intention behind it, like in this case. Sometimes it just takes one person to motivate you past that cringe feeling.

The dream doesn’t always have to look like Gucci and Rolls Royce. Sometimes it’s a 4pm date with my kids, no permission needed, no schedule to answer to, just us.

There’s nothing like building something on OUR terms.

I’m just a mama who dared to leave my comfort zone to build a business that would give me something money cannot ever buy…. time.
