Hannah loves encouraging youth to start their 7,220 apprenticeship hours. She believes that the practical on-the-job training provided by a highly skilled worker and/or trainer is irreplaceable.

Well, I’m 28 today. 🎂🎉 Had a great start to my birthday hanging out with my guys at the shop! We did shop maintenance, cleaning & organizing and ordered pizza for lunch. My boss handed me this photo to put up, it’s our newest addition to our lunch room 🥹❤️ I love the shop life #bluecollar #shoplife #mechaniclife by @highvolthannah

NEW HOODIE FROM @bluecollarbankroll25 💀💰🇨🇦 A real blue collar girl repping blue collar gear.

They slid in my DM’s with a “we need to get you into one of our hoodies.” 🙌🏻 Straight outta Belleville, Ontario. Support local and go check out their website! This isn’t sponsored, they just have good quality, badass blue collar gear and I love to see a small biz succeed.

Thank you BCB for the hoodie! Putting in my next order soon 🖤

Deep thoughts from me & my morning coffee in Kingston before work…

I was sipping my coffee watching everyone pull into the event we were attending as an exhibitor later day (I could see the arena from my room.) I was thinking wow, I could barely get a foot in the door in the trades ten years ago, and now I’m on the other side of the table trying to recruit people.

I was scared when I:
-got hired at a garage at 17
-registered as an apprentice
-went to college
-wrote my Red Seal
-got hired as a Professor
-was offered the chance to travel for work
It’s ok to be scared, do it anyway. There’s no super secret to it all. Sometimes you just have to make the jump.

Well, it’s only taken three years, but I finally made my way out of the automotive labs and into some other ones! I toured the other trades building and found a giant gremlin in an electrical lab. I love it here. #teacherlife #mechaniclife #skilledtrades by @highvolthannah
