One month after the Lineage Logistics warehouse fire, I convened a Board presentation to review recovery efforts, provide updates for residents and continue demanding accountability from Lineage. Since the fire, my office has distributed more than 11,500 air purifiers, food boxes, cases of water and N95 masks, directed the canvassing of nearly 700 homes, and connected families, workers and small businesses with critical resources. As recovery continues, I remain focused on ensuring impacted communities receive the support they need and that Lineage is held accountable for the harm caused by this incident. by @hildasolis

In the aftermath of unimaginable loss, the USA-2 Urban Search and Rescue Task Force, comprised of firefighters, search and rescue specialists, and canine teams, traveled thousands of miles to assist communities in Venezuela during a time of profound need. Through their expertise, courage and unwavering commitment to service, they brought hope to those facing extraordinary hardship and demonstrated the very best of Los Angeles County. We are proud to welcome them home and deeply grateful for the compassion, professionalism and dedication they displayed throughout this mission. by @hildasolis

My team and I remain on the ground connecting residents with air purifiers, masks, food, water and other critical resources as recovery efforts continue following the Lineage Logistics warehouse fire. Resource distributions will continue this week at Salazar Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

I know many East Los Angeles residents are still feeling the impacts of this incident. We remain focused on ensuring residents have access to the support and information they need as recovery efforts move forward. taken in Ruben Salazar Park by @hildasolis

I was proud to celebrate seven sidewalk vendors who received no-cost, health code-compliant food carts through @econoppla’s Sidewalk Vending Cart Program. These carts help vendors operate safely, meet health requirements and expand their businesses.

I also announced an additional $250,000 investment to provide 19 more integrated grill carts for eligible vendors in unincorporated communities across the San Gabriel Valley, bringing the County’s total investment in the program to $1.78 million.

Sidewalk vendors are small business owners, job creators and an essential part of the cultural fabric of Los Angeles County. Through this program, vendors receive more than a cart. They gain access to permitting assistance, technical support, public health resources and other tools that help them build and sustain their businesses for years to come. by @hildasolis

Lineage Logistics indicated that the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) would assist Boyle Heights residents with electricity costs, but no comparable assistance was secured for East Los Angeles. In response, I’ve connected directly with Southern California Edison to ensure that residents in the Union Pacific neighborhood of East LA will have access to assistance with their electric bills.

Residents interested in this resource should contact 1-800-250-7339, Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by @hildasolis

After a two-day canvass of more than 700 homes near the Lineage Logistics warehouse fire, my staff and County public health teams heard directly from residents about their concerns, needs, and the support they need moving forward.

Many residents shared that they want to remain in their homes, but emphasized the need for odor removal and site cleanup as soon as possible. However, for residents who requested temporary relocation assistance, we connected them with free emergency housing resources through Airbnb.org and 211 LA. Teams also provided additional air purifiers, with up to 3 units available per household.

Since the fire, my office has worked alongside community organizations, health centers, and County departments to distribute more than 11,500 air purifiers, food boxes, crates of water, and boxes of N95 masks, while connecting residents and small businesses with critical resources.

Our work continues. My staff remains on the ground providing supplies, answering questions, and connecting affected residents with available support. For assistance, call 211 or visit recovery.lacounty.gov/eastla. taken in East Los Angeles, California by @hildasolis
