Crafty Beginners all the way to Experienced Creatives welcome!

We’ll explore how to spark your imagination and build a fantasy world that explores new edges of self through gender, sexuality, and sensory play. Come to meet fellow curious community and leave with a personal piece of art that anchors your pleasure on days when everything feels a little too much. All materials provided, but feel to bring any odds n’ ends you’ve been saving along too!

Soft Focus Studio is their ongoing art project exploring the legacy of historical perverts who carved out traditional norms to challenge taboo boundaries within sexuality and gender projected by contemporary society. “𝕹𝖔𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝕭𝖚𝖙 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕭𝖑𝖔𝖔𝖉”

Born from a closeted f@ggot pastor, my existence is a reclamation of denied truth. As a child I was raised on fear-mongering allegories warning of the perils of self-love. Now I write my own stories through visual perversion, splaying change incarnate in the multitudes of queer freaks who built a lineage of resistance and care before me. This image deconstructs the myth that to be tr@ns is anything other than divine. Seven needles sourced from freaks all around Chicago circle the center as bloody blessings. Each figure printed has been found from archival materials sourced through @gerberhart and @_leatherarchives_ . Breaking the binary of black and white thinking, set against a background of primary colors to remind the viewer - we are genesis. Take a bite, baby.

🎉 today is 1 year with my little Valentine, baby girl, raccoon, meep-mop, kalamata, martini, Olive 🫒 we’re soulmates and the love she has opened up in my heart beams into everyone who meets her 🥹 Valentine’s Day is also my Mom’s birthday and since she’s passed getting to have a way to celebrate this day along with my grief has transformed me for good. 💞
big milestones include:
🫒catching a bird INSIDE the apartment
🫒becoming best friends with Dany the dog
🫒 escaping the apartment and activating the building group chat while I was at work to run back only to be scolded by her for locking her outside 🙄🫠😝
🫒 conquering her fear of fuzzy blankets and becoming the best biscuit maker in the house 🥐
🫒 charming everyone she meets on our backpack adventures 🎒
🫒 most dexterous paws award for waking me up every morning with a full facial massage 💆🏻
🫒 trusting me everyday to come back through the door 🥹

She loves to run very fast (and often into walls), jump on every available shelf, lay on her back Otter style whenever possible, and follow me into every room only to complain when I shut the door. This girl is a free-range adventurer like her Dad and I’m so excited for the life we’re building together 🗺️ by @himbometal

Recently had an acquaintance absolutely SLAY me with the exact era for my style: 80’s Modern Art Nouveau Revival, babbbyyyy! As someone who grew up being told what to wear until I was 12 without autonomy, respecting the art of style is everything to me. I’d like to thank Depop and Klarna for making this post possible.
