Thank you to all who came to @hinterland.ny's "BUILDING LIGHT" installation! My piece, "Lightning Stream", is best experienced analog / in person, which is kind of the point to it all, but here it is in a less substantial digital clip for today's world. 📺⚡

The ever-talented Jen Keenan of @charmingstudio_ny constructed the "window" and is my dream collaborator in multiple art forms. 🪟🙌🏻 It is always a pleasure to share ideas and space with my fellow Hinterlanders, who envisioned a plan for this empty hardware store in Phoenicia and made it a reality.

Activating a historic building, the old hardware store on Main Street in Phoenicia, they will center raw materials in this raw space to construct an interactive exploration of this theme, inviting visitors to participate in a deep dive from the depths the ocean to the far reaches of space, reflecting on the light that animates us from within.

Special moments from a very special day. I'm so proud of this work - the art, the installation, but mostly this world we're creating. It's full of joy and deep contemplation, generosity of spirit and resources and time. We work together, we play together. Our children wander in adorable tiny herds. It is why we are surviving these times. This sisterhood is as ancient as the first fires. We sit in circles and mend things, generate things, share things. And this weekend we BUILT LIGHT.
