I would have never thought I would ever be a fitness trainer, and even a @lagreewest fitness trainer, but 3.5 years later starting from the front desk to now being on the floor for almost a year here I am 🥺

So grateful to everyone who has dealt with me, my loud voice and my class playlist music choices 😙

I have truly made friends for a lifetime working across all of our beautiful studios, and so proud to see our Lagree West Legends community continuing to grow. Thank you @cherylblundell for hiring me all those years ago, @dranngo @itssarahformosa @mendykhalida @tabathalpc @meghunterrr @saskiawedding for training me to teach group fitness, & my dear friends: og gem girlies @amendridemel @smthaboutjamie, baby trainer gang @eileenbui @mackinleywilson @kira.rieger, and my girls @tebbsy123 @_kparmar_ @carolyncheung

A little change of pace on my social media but I wanted to share something so special and meaningful that has been in the works for the past almost 20+ years. From my sister and I participating in YWCA programs from when we were kids, to helping fundraise for the rooftop garden at Hotel Willow - Space of Grace named in our mom's honour, and to now helping recognize the remarkable women creating change across our communities, this journey feels incredibly full circle.

I'm incredibly honoured to share that I'll be serving as Co-Chair of the YWCA BC Women of Distinction Awards Nominations Committee for the 2027 Awards. Last year, I had the privilege of serving as a member of the Nominations Committee, and stepping into this new role feels especially meaningful because YWCA BC has been part of our family's story for as long as I can remember. Watching my mom dedicate so much of her life to the YWCA BC, an incredible organization that has shaped the values I carry with me every day. My sister and I are also both proud YWCA Legacy Members.

Last year was also made even more special when one of my nominees, Barbara Lee, received the Arts, Culture & Design Women of Distinction Award. Seeing such an inspiring leader recognized was a reminder of why this work matters. To everyone who's been part of this journey, thank you. My sister, our beloved Phyllis (our second mother to us), and our mom's co-worker, companion and dear friend Arden. I'm excited to help celebrate even more extraordinary women, changemakers, and organizations across British Columbia @ywcabc @hotel.willo

We're just getting started 💜
