A romance that bloomed at a livestream event during lockdown has finally come to fruition…

FED ASH + HIRS ~ I AM BODY HORROR LP ~ Preorders are live at @squareofopposition (and l¡nk ¡n the h¡rs b¡o!) streaming via @getbetterrecords

Preorder exclusive tee, mailorder-only screened supplemental cover w/ black vinyl Ltd to 200, screened jacket w/ white vinyl Ltd to 300.

On July 18, 2021, Fed Ash and HIRS played together for the first time in the corner of a record store in Syracuse, NY for a livestream. No audience. Just us, stream freaks Death Scythe Media, folks that ran The Sound Garden record store, and a couple friends. From that moment, we knew we would, at the very least, share space together in the future.

Barely a year later, August 2022, we finally did our first weekend run together and the glue noticeably started to bind tighter. After those three days, we knew we would need something more substantial than merely playing shows together.

It took us three years to finally get into the same room and mold these 11 songs into what they are now, but once the momentum was initiated- it never stopped. Within a couple months, and just a few practices, we were all in @vivastudiova in Fairfax, VA with Matthew Michel and finished writing and recording “I AM BODY HORROR” over the course of two weekends.

Enjoy the sound of finding love in dissonance, chaos, and new friends. by @hirs666
