HISTORIC ATHENS PORCHFEST NEEDS YOU!

We have 99 porch sponsorships available. Will you be one of them?

Historic Athens Porchfest is an award-winning fall festival that celebrates the best of local music, history, and community. Now in its eighth year, the event transforms seven of Athens' most beloved historic neighborhoods into a free, family-friendly music festival. In 2025, Porchfest welcomed more than 35K attendees to enjoy over 250 porch concerts—its largest year yet.

Throughout the day, thousands of visitors walk or bike from home to home, soaking in live performances ranging from folk and rock to jazz, all within a relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere that captures the spirit of Athens. This event is only possible because of incredible local businesses who believe in the power of music to bring communities together. From coffee shops to law firms, breweries to design studios, our sponsors are investing in the spirit of Athens.

Starting at $150 with Porch sponsorships, your name or logo (based on your preference) will be featured on the yard sign placed at the concert location for more than a week before - and on the day of - the individual concert that you will be sponsoring. You will be the official Porch Sponsor for that event!

Also available are Porch Bundles for those that would like to sponsor more than one porch! Each bundle comes with different perks including sign toppers & tabling opportunities, including Alley (3), Avenue (10), and Block (15).

HISTORIC ATHENS PORCHFEST 2026 PULASKI HEIGHTS LINE-UP

Less than a mile from downtown Athens, Pulaski Heights formed in the late 1800s around the railroad and commerce industry. Its early residents were a diverse mix of clerks, blue-collar workers and craftsmen, working around town or within the neighborhood, including L. M. Leathers Company, McGinty's Planing Mill, and the Southern Cotton Oil Co. The neighborhood's sprawling ravines and steep lanes are now lined with newly constructed residences and remodeled cottages. Many industrial buildings, some still in operation and others converted into commercial or residential use, may be seen in the nearby North Chase Industrial District.

HISTORIC ATHENS PORCHFEST 2026 NORMALTOWN LINE-UP

Initially named after the State Normal School, a teachers college, Normaltown has become well-known for its alternative population. It was the first area of Athens to be wired for electricity after the completion of the Mitchell Bridge hydroelectric plant in 1896. Prince Avenue and its side streets are lined with local businesses and older homes, showing a great variety of architectural styles. The former restaurant 'Allens' was famous for hosting early R.E.M. and the B-52s shows.

HISTORIC ATHENS PORCHFEST 2026 NEWTOWN LINE-UP

The name “Newtown” can be traced back to the late 1800s, at the beginning of the neighborhood, and is exhibited in Athens City Directories and Maps and Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps. The residential area started to take shape in the first two decades of the 1900s, and by 1926, was densely populated. The residential building styles seen in Newtown are representative of early to mid-20th century resources frequently found in Southeastern US cities. The Gabled Ell Cottage and the Saddlebag are the two most common architectural styles.

HISTORIC ATHENS PORCHFEST 2026 COBBHAM LINE-UP

Cobbham is often called Athens, Georgia’s earliest suburb, for John A. Cobb first subdivided his farm near town and advertised 80 lots for sale in 1834. This neighborhood has evolved from an almost rural setting into an in-town neighborhood with houses nestled close together on tree-lined streets. Historic Athens headquarters at Firehall No. 2 is one of the many beautiful structures in this storied neighborhood.
