Yet another PHENOMENAL year capturing @barkonboulevard with @athenspets 🐶🦴 and as always, it was such a struggle to have to choose just 20 photos for this post because there were SO many amazing doggos and costumes. 😍🙌 Athens knows how to show up and show out!! Always such a fun part of @historicathens Porchfest.

Share this post or tag any pups you recognize! Would love to get everyone their photos from this incredible day. 🥰

I can’t wait to figure out what’s wrong with me, so I can say this is the way that I used to be

Sunday, October 18, I had the chance to cover Historic Athens Porchfest through my Reporting 1 class. I had to get interviews, take pictures/videos, and put together a story before my shift was over. This experience taught me so much about writing on a tight deadline, and how to report in a setting I’m not used to. The music was amazing as well, thank you @noisemountain for the amazing performance!!

🎶 Where the Streets Become a Stage | Athens Porchfest 2026

For one day, the porches of Athens, Georgia, became something more than front steps and rocking chairs. They became stages, gathering places, and a reminder of what makes a music community special.

No massive stages. No barriers. Just live music spilling into the streets, neighbors coming together, and talented musicians doing what they love.

There’s something special about a city that turns its own neighborhoods into a celebration of local music, art, and community.

Athens has always had a musical soul. Porchfest is proof that it’s still alive and well.

📸 A few moments through my lens at Athens Porchfest 2026.

Were you out exploring Porchfest? Drop your favorite performance or porch in the comments! I’d love to hear who you discovered.
