good swing starts before the bat ever moves.

@hittingwithcoachrob breaks down one of his favorite drills to help hitters learn how to properly coil and use their hips through the swing.

This 45° batting stance drill with a split grip teaches:

• Proper hip loading and rotation
• Creating tension during the coil
• Staying connected throughout the swing
• Efficient energy transfer from the ground up
• Better barrel control and consistency

When hitters struggle to generate power, it’s often not a strength issue. It’s a sequencing issue.

This drill helps athletes feel how the lower half and upper half should work together to create a more efficient swing.

The goal isn’t just to swing harder. It’s to move better, stay connected, and maximize the power you already have.

The young guns got it done this weekend!

Jace, Jordan, Ryan, and Gianni all parked balls and continue to improve over the course of the summer. All four stayed dedicated and consistent to the process all offseason, and the results are showing.

Keep working boys, plenty more trots are coming! taken in Queens, New York by @hittingwithcoachrob

Only 5 years old, but the passion is already there. Jaxson brings energy, joy, and a hunger to improve every time he steps on the field. Keep grinding, little dude! ⚾️🔥

Gianni Palmato | Class of 2030

This offseason, Gianni came to me with a bit of a long swing and was very pull-side dominant. Through hard work, consistency, and trusting the process, he’s completely transformed at the plate.

Now heading into his freshman year at Kellenberg Memorial High School, Gianni is off to a HOT spring with 4 HR already this season while driving the ball hard to all fields.

Huge shoutout to Gianni and his dad Elio for staying consistent all offseason and putting the work in day after day. Proud of this kid and we’re just getting started.
