Teagan, Roni, Selayah, Rose, Xochitl, Destiny, Jason, Eric. Eight directors, with eight drastically different stories to tell.

Every semester, Crest Theater platforms student filmmakers with the J Street Film Festival. This year, the festival will screen eight short films, created entirely by senior Sacramento State film students.

Hivemind had the opportunity to speak with the eight directors behind this year’s short films. In our spring issue, we’ll delve into the lives of these young creatives and what shapes their storytelling. Coming soon.
