We are more than honoured to have Mr. Roger Chan, Chairman of Clothing Industry Training Authority, delivering the Opening Address for Fashion Summit (HK) 2026 on 3 Sep.

💡Reflecting on how AI is fundamentally shaping the way we communicate, imagine, create, and experience the world around us, Mr. Roger Chan emphasized this year’s theme, “Code the Fashion Forward,” urging the industry to shape the world with intention, innovation, and responsibility ✨. Addressing pressing global challenges—including high online apparel return rates, escalating textile waste, and the growing impact of hazardous chemicals on human health—he reminded us that sustainability is far more than a business agenda; it is an urgent global responsibility. 🧵🌍

In this vision, “Coding” represents a new design language, a fresh operating mindset, and a commitment to transformation. By bringing together technology, creativity, craftsmanship, culture, and sustainability, we can move beyond using technology merely for efficiency to actively reducing waste, elevating product value, and inspiring thoughtful consumption. 💡📈

A huge thank you to Mr. Roger Chan for presenting the opening address as we embark on this journey toward an innovative and responsible future for global fashion! 🙏

We are more than honoured to have Mr. Peter Feranec, Conductor and Diplomat, as the keynote speaker for Fashion Summit (HK) 2026, delivering an inspiring presentation exploring the profound relationship between music performance, fashion, and design.

💡Beyond aesthetics and materials, music, fashion, and design are fundamentally about communication, human emotion, and identity 🎼👗. In this session, Mr. Peter Feranec highlighted how designers and conductors share a parallel creative language—taking raw elements to build a narrative that is ultimately completed by the audience's interpretation. As consumers shift from buying physical products to seeking storytelling, shared values, and meaningful experiences, fashion and performance must continuously influence each other while balancing artistic integrity with commercial culture.

By treating traditional heritage not as a static museum piece but as a living source of inspiration, he demonstrated how bridging creativity, cross-cultural dialogue, and emotion creates long-term human connection and drives the future of global fashion 🎻✨🌍.

A huge thank you to Mr. Peter Feranec for sharing his inspiring vision, strategic insight, and creative path forward on how art, design, and diplomacy unite to build meaningful connection in our modern world! 🙏

💬 "China changes so quickly that we have to remake a whole new strategy every 3 months. Success now comes down to shifting from surface prestige to deep emotional resonance."

At Fashion Summit (HK) 2026, keynote speaker Mr. Bohan Qiu @bohanqiu unpacked the rapid maturation of the Chinese market and how global and local brands can build authentic cultural connections 🇨🇳✨

💡 As Chinese consumers shift from status symbols toward value-driven experiences, Bohan highlights the rise of frequent emotional rewards for youth and hyper-localized, story-rich experiences for mature buyers 🛍️🍵. Rather than relying on simple logos or surface-level entry tactics, international brands must tap into shared emotional narratives and genuine cultural respect 🎨🤝. Meanwhile, a new wave of local Chinese brands is leveraging global curiosity to bring their heritage-driven designs to the world stage 🌍🚀.

🇭🇰 Hong Kong's Unique Role: Serving as a vital bridge and testing ground, Hong Kong leverages its high-net-worth consumers, world-class professional services, and cultural agility to help modern fashion brands translate, adapt, and scale globally 🌐✨

A huge thank you to Bohan for sharing his valuable industry insights, sharp market perspective, and creative vision for the future of global fashion storytelling! 🙏

💡 While traditional manufacturing formats are evolving, Hong Kong’s core strengths in international trade, common law, and supply chain leadership remain irreplaceable. In this session, Hon. Sunny Tan highlighted how leveraging the “One Country, Two Systems” framework, the Greater Bay Area, and the 15th Five-Year Plan can position Hong Kong as a prime global fashion and textile hub 🇭🇰📈. By focusing on four key pillars—innovative product development, global supply chain management, brand and design development, and producer services—alongside green initiatives like interconnected digital product passports, he demonstrated how bridging East and West creates long-term competitiveness and drives a more sustainable future for the fashion industry 🧵🌍.

A huge thank you to Hon. Sunny Tan, BBS for sharing his inspiring vision, strategic insight, and actionable path forward for propelling Hong Kong and the global textile sector toward an innovative and sustainable future! 🙏
