110 tonnes of precision.

our project stieg’nhaus design boutique hotel is featured in the new architektur aktuell innenleben issue, with a story dedicated to the materiality and architectural depth of the project.

under the guiding principle pure and present, 110 tonnes of massive stone, round geometries and regional craftsmanship come together to create a space that is experienced not only visually, but also through touch and atmosphere.

rough surfaces, warm fabrics, precise details and crafted elements define the spaces — from the monumental staircase to custom fixtures and hand-finished ceramics.

a project about presence, precision and the power of material.

. reception ft. workspace

the reception is more than a point of arrival — it is the central workplace of the practice.

designed as a single architectural element, the custom stainless steel volume combines reception, consultation and everyday work within one calm, continuous gesture. its soft organic form creates a sculptural focal point while seamlessly integrating the functional requirements of a modern healthcare environment.

paired with a timeless task chair in warm oak and black leather, the workstation introduces warmth and comfort without compromising the project’s restrained material language.

gentle curves choreograph movement through the space, intuitively leading patients towards the waiting area, where architecture quietly guides through form rather than instruction.

the restrained palette of brushed stainless steel, dark oak and mineral surfaces creates a balanced dialogue between precision and warmth, allowing everyday functions to become an integral part of the architectural composition.

. medicine is built on precision.
. its architecture should be, too.

healthcare environments are often designed around equipment, regulations and workflows. while these requirements are essential, they should never define how a space feels.

we believe that architecture has the responsibility to bridge clinical performance with human experience. materials must meet the highest hygienic standards without feeling sterile. circulation should feel intuitive. every detail should support both medical practice and emotional wellbeing.

brushed stainless steel, mineral surfaces and soft textiles are carefully balanced to create spaces that are precise without appearing technical, calm without becoming anonymous, and functional without sacrificing atmosphere.

because the quality of care begins long before treatment starts.

less clinical.
more human.
less distraction.
more wellbeing.

. privacy begins with architecture.

the patient changing area was conceived as an integral part of the spatial sequence rather than a room apart. a structural column, instead of becoming an obstacle, is seamlessly absorbed into the custom furniture, transforming a technical necessity into an architectural gesture.

brushed stainless steel provides durability, hygiene and precision, while soft curtains introduce warmth, tactility and privacy. together, they dissolve the perceived clinical character of the material, creating an atmosphere that feels calm, protected and intuitive.

architecture is not only about what we see.
it is about how a space makes us feel.

less separation.
more integration.
less clinical.
more human.

. architecture is experienced in the smallest moments

the richness of a space rarely comes from complexity, but from the dialogue between material, light and proportion. warm oak, brushed stainless steel and soft textiles create a quiet composition where every surface contributes to a sense of calm.

details are not decoration — they are what give architecture its character.

less noise.
more presence.

. entrance

first impressions are rarely about what is added — they are about what is left out.

the entrance is conceived as a calm architectural gesture, where every element serves more than one purpose. in response to the limited storage available, a sculptural oak volume was designed as a spatial anchor, seamlessly integrating concealed storage while defining the arrival experience.

its softened radius continues the language of the curved reception desk, allowing both elements to engage in a quiet dialogue that gently guides movement into the space. rather than interrupting the architecture, the open wardrobe remains intentionally understated — accessible, functional and visually light.

the restrained material palette of warm oak, brushed stainless steel and mineral surfaces creates a balanced interplay of warmth and precision, transforming everyday functions into an integral part of the architectural composition.
