I had the pleasure this past week of getting invited again for Career Day by the guys at The Trevor Noah Foundation. I take service delivery as an audiologist as seriously as I do guiding the next future and brilliant minds in the sciences and man was I blown away these Grade 9 learners. They asked thought provoking questions, and we found the solutions together in the room as I encouraged them to search amongst themselves for the answers. What was meant to be an hour of me taking them through a typical day as an audiologist turned into 3 hours of debating and critical thinking. I left the room hopeful about their future, and excited about all the possibilities that it holds. I hope to continue to find myself in rooms where their future is prioritised and protected at all costs.✨ by @hlomijack

Back on the mat after a week off.
Took some time to think of the ways I use my breath during my deep stretching sessions. These tend to expand with self as the practise does. What remains consistent is the room to notice and enjoy how my body keeps getting stronger. We bend here. We don’t break. And we remain rooted. 🌱 by @hlomijack

I have a deep believe in what the wind holds. I have heard it as a gentle breeze and a gust and still believe both are of God. One day we will talk about it.
For now here is how this affirmation came about: I woke up from a very restful slumber and could not go back to sleep again.
I listened to the wind. Not knowing what time it was,
I asked God if He is still speaking to me. I heard the wind.
I wrote this poem. At first it came just as this one line:
“Uze no moya.” Eventually when I was done writing it, I looked at the time, it was 3:48 AM.
I listened to the wind, and fell into a deep slumber again. by @hlomijack
