Here’s your first look at Rewarding 📸

Starring Hannah McClean and comedian Vittorio Angelone in his first major acting role, the new comedy follows support workers Sinead and Francis as they do their best to care for their clients, if not always each other.

Coming this autumn to BBC iPlayer. Francis (Vittorio Angelone) and Sinead (Hannah McClean) sit on the end of a bed and look directly to camera. They both wear casual clothes and professional identification lanyards. There are hand drawings of dinosaurs attached to the wall in the background, alongside crayon scrawling across the wall. by @hmcc

Rewarding is now in production in Belfast! 🎬 Vittorio Angelone and Hannah McClean star in the new comedy series coming to the BBC

Set on the frontlines of domiciliary care, Rewarding follows the messy lives of the support workers and their disabled and neurodivergent clients.

Francis (Vittorio Angelone) and Sinead (Hannah McClean) are two support workers doing their best to care for their clients, if not always each other. Newcomer Sinead is an unstoppable force of positivity and idealism, old hand Francis the immovable object of reality and pragmatism.

The series features disabled, neurodivergent and learning disabled talent in key roles and draws on lived experience to bring authenticity and nuance to its portrayal of social care.

Head to the link in the @BBCPressOffice bio for the full story Photo of Hannah McClean and Vittorio Angelone at a script readthrough for Rewarding. Hannah smiles and looks at Vittorio, who is reading a copy of the script. Text on the image reads: “Rewarding - coming to BBC iPlayer”. by @hmcc

For three police recruits in Belfast, the pressure is immense. Facing criminal gangs and divided communities, they don’t know who to trust. The odds are, they won’t all make it.
