As we welcome a new month and bring another beautiful Olojo Festival to a glorious conclusion, may we carry forward the strength, wisdom and blessings of our heritage.

Life will test us, shape us and sometimes challenge the very essence of who we are, but through it all, never lose yourself trying to fit into a world that was created to experience you exactly as you are. Be authentic. Be courageous. Be unapologetically you.

I have learnt that a woman can possess a gentle heart and still carry extraordinary strength. She can lead with kindness without becoming weak, forgive without becoming foolish, and love deeply without permitting herself to be taken for granted.

“I am a strong woman with a kind heart, an alpha female who understands that grace is not weakness, kindness is not permission for disrespect, and silence should never be mistaken for surrender. I honour my boundaries, and I will always choose dignity over proving myself.

I come from a world deeply rooted in culture, heritage, tradition and responsibility. At the same time, I am also a professional and an entrepreneur who understands that the world continues to evolve.

And I strongly believe that embracing technology does not require us to abandon who we are.

We can honour tradition and embrace innovation.

We can understand our history while preparing for the future.

We can carry our identity into the digital economy rather than allowing the digital economy to erase our identity.

The next generation must understand both.

They must know where they come from, but they must also understand where the world is going.

And those of us who already have influence have an even greater responsibility.

SEPTEMBER !!! A NEW MONTH. A NEW LOOK. A DEEPER REINTRODUCTION.

There comes a time when you stop allowing the world to define you and become completely comfortable with defining yourself.

Know who you are.
Know what you carry.
Know what you have worked for.
Know the value you bring.
Know the lives you have the capacity to impact, and never feel the need to diminish one part of yourself to make another part acceptable.

I am a woman of faith and spirituality, but I am equally a woman of education, professionalism, intellect, enterprise and purpose. These identities do not compete with one another, but together, they make me whole.

I can honour my roots and still sit confidently in professional spaces. I can embrace spirituality and still celebrate education, knowledge and excellence. I can respect tradition while evolving. There is power in knowing that you do not have to choose between the different dimensions of who you are.

This season, I am intentionally allowing people to see more of the professional woman behind the title, the Chartered Accountant, entrepreneur, leader and woman who believes that influence must ultimately translate into impact.

September is especially precious to me because it is my son’s birth month. As he grows into who he is destined to become, I am reminded that one of the greatest things we can teach the next generation is the courage to know themselves, develop what they possess, and never apologise for walking fully in their purpose.

So this month represents renewal, rebranding, rediscovery and intentional impact.

I am not becoming someone else.
I am simply allowing every dimension of who I already am to have its rightful place.

And if I desire others to embrace themselves completely, then I must first lead by example.

Know who you are. Know what you carry. Own it with humility. Develop it with discipline. Use it to impact others and never shrink yourself to fit into someone else’s definition of you.

Welcome to September.
A new month. A new chapter. A fuller expression of self. 👑
