get a lot of questions about my Lyme journey and what treatment looked like, so I wanted to share a little more of my experience!!
There were long treatment days, exhaustion, fear, uncertainty, and so many moments where I had to choose to keep going even when I didn’t know what the outcome would be.
And the honest answer is… we’re still figuring out the full picture. After finishing treatment, I went into a significant lupus flare, which made it complicated to know exactly what was Lyme-related and what was autoimmune-related. At the same time, my Lyme numbers looked incredibly encouraging.
Chronic illness rarely gives us a neat “before and after.” Sometimes healing is messy. Sometimes it’s progress mixed with setbacks. Sometimes it’s trusting God in the middle of unanswered questions!!!!
I’m always happy to answer questions about my Lyme journey, treatment, or what this season looked like for me 🤍 #lymedisease #chroniclyme

You wanna know something I don’t even like posting photo dumps can anyone else relate by @holistic_hadleigh

I know people pray for me (and so many others) to be healed and I am so grateful for every single prayer. ❤️❤️ Please don’t stop praying!!!!
But the more I’ve walked through suffering, the more I’ve realized that my greatest hope can’t be that my circumstances change. Because Jesus never promised that life on this earth would get easier.
“In this world you will have suffering.” (John 16:33)
That doesn’t make our prayers for healing pointless. We should absolutely ask God to heal, and we should ask boldly! But what carries me on the days healing doesn’t come isn’t the hope that tomorrow will be easier, it’s the hope of heaven.
The hope that one day this broken body will be made new.
That every tear will be wiped away.
That pain will finally lose.
That suffering has an expiration date.
That I will be with Him in perfect peace.
For those who belong to Christ, this world is as close to hell as we’ll ever get.
Heaven is coming.
And that hope changes how we endure today.

Like ok maybe a few people knew but I think I did a good job faking it. My memories from my wedding day are sooooooo hazy between the brain fog and painkillers but it was still the best day ever❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 #chronicallyill #chronicillness #marriage #strong #relatable by @holistic_hadleigh

I definitely don’t have this topic all sorted out by any means. But I wanted to share the little truths that I have learned along the way. Good or bad, easy or hard, our circumstances in this life are an opportunity to know Jesus deeper 🕊️
Life is rarely as simple as being wholly good or wholly bad. And maybe it’s in the tension of holding both joy and sorrow, beauty and grief, that we come to seek God desperately and discover the many facets of His beautiful nature.

A life well loved 🍯🍯🍯
Gratitude is the single most defining thing about my day, it’s not always easy but it’s so worthwhile 🌷🌷🌷

Your skin is literally your largest organ! And it absorbs more than we realize. And as a chronic illness girly, you know I’m trying to minimize my heavy metal exposure as much as possible!!✨🚿

I’ve used a jolieskinco shower head filter for years and seen a noticeable difference in my skin and hair! Switching to my Jolie Filtered Shower head has become an important part of my wellness routine because the water we shower in can contain chlorine, heavy metals, and other contaminants that may impact our skin barrier, hair health, and overall well-being.

As someone already mindful about what I put in my body, it only made sense to start caring about what I’m exposing my body to every single day too. 🚿☀️🤎

You were never lazy.
You were exhausted.❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

You were never ‘too much.’
You were in pain.

living in a body that doesn’t always cooperate will teach you how to extend yourself a kind of grace most people never have to learn

you’re doing better than you think❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 #chronicillness #chronicillnesslife #spoonie #pots #invisibleillness by @holistic_hadleigh
