When we understand God’s creation we see the beauty of all he has provided to us 💜

Fear is not discernment. Anxiety is not discernment. Skepticism is not discernment.

Your nervous system was designed to recognize + recover.

You were created for discernment, not hyper-vigilance.

Control is one of the most common coping mechanisms of self-protection that ultimately stems from fear of trauma and distrust in the Lord.

The most powerful thing you can do for your body is+ healing: surrender. True and total surrender. by @holisticbri

I’ve ministered to a lot of people around trusting in the Lord.

And when I ask, “Do you trust God?” the answer is almost immediately, “Yes! Of course!”

But when I invite them to sit with that question more deeply, a different root is often revealed.

Because the fruit will reveal the root.

Where there is persistent fear, worry, rumination, control, or shallow surrender, there may be a part of us that is afraid to let go because we don’t fully trust the Lord with the outcome.

You can *mostly* trust God and still struggle to fully surrender to Him.

Because the depth of your surrender reflects the depth of your trust.

So if you want to go deeper with the Lord, start here:

1. Ask Him to reveal the fear:
“Lord, what am I afraid will happen if I fully surrender this to You?”

2. Then ask:
“Lord, what is Your truth that speaks to this fear?”

Every fear that we have can be remedied in His truth.

Jesus never said to cast out demons until you receive the Holy Spirit

He never said the Holy Spirit would make you immune to demonic oppression

In fact, the New Testament tells us to
⚔️ Be on guard against the devil (1 Peter 5:8-9)
⚔️ NOT give the enemy a foothold (Eph 4:27)

Because authority doesn’t automatically equal immunity ❌

Sin opens demonic doorways 🚪
Authority closes them 🔥

The command to cast out demons has not expired, it’s just as important today as it was 2,000 years ago.

All throughout the Bible we are told to not fear. Philippians 4:6-7 actually gives us a process on *how*.

When worry comes, we have a choice: continue trying to control what we are afraid of, or surrender it to God.

The peace of God comes IN surrender. Even when circumstances don’t change, our hearts can.

That’s the peace that God desires for us. It’s not circumstantial, it’s constantly available. His invitation is for us to truly receive it.

When we wrestle and fight against the will of God, it reveals distrust.

But if we really knew God and trusted his will over our own, wouldn’t we surrender everything?

To discern the will of God, we have to actively renew our mind. To lay down our own ways of thinking and choose to see things his way. Then - we can see his will, and see that it is indeed perfect. by @holisticbri

Some things need deliverance. Some things need healing. Discernment tells the difference.

Demons know how to push buttons in the flesh.
AND… trauma can feel very demonic.

In most cases, trauma goes hand in hand with demonic oppression. But we have to be able to discern what needs to be healed versus what needs to be cast out.

Trying to cast out wounded parts of yourself will have you fighting against your own healing.

But trying to heal what is demonic in nature will never lead to true freedom.

Both deliverance and inner healing are necessary. Knowing how and when to use them is what leads to soul & spirit liberation.

It’s laying down…
Shame.
Unworthiness.
Guilt.
Self-hatred.
Unforgiveness towards yourself.

It means allowing every false version of you to die so you can finally live as who God created you to be.

Self-hatred isn’t humility. Humility is agreeing with what God says about you, even when his assessment of you is far more gracious than your own. 💜 by @holisticbri

The source of our hope ⬇️

Is not circumstances. It’s Jesus. In his word. In his character and in HIS faithfulness.

Psalm 42:11 “why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will praise him, my Savior and my God.”
