12 days trekking to Everest Base Camp and honestly… what the fkkkk in the best way possible. Physically cooked, mentally pushed & extremely stinky. Six days no shower, hiking up to 5550m in -17 degrees &&& unlimited vege dhalbut!! Every day was dodging mules, horses, yaks and their pile high turds.

it’s also been the most fun and rewarding experience!! Fully lapping up every second of the Himalayas, and realising how simple life gets out here. Eat, walk, try to breathe, pee a million times (thanks diamox), repeat.

It’s hard, it’s uncomfortable, and there were definitely moments of “why the hellll did I sign up for this.” I came completely unprepared for the challenge but I’m leaving feeling grateful, malnourished, and a lot more resilient. by @holly_harte
