I’ve been consistently going to the gym for 11 years now, I started going right after my second son was born.

If you’ve seen me at the gym, I typically wear a baggie tshirt or hoodie.

Today, was the first time in 11 years, I’ve ever worked out in just my sports bra.

Almost 8 years ago, I walked into my first networking rooms knowing almost no one.

I was new(ish) to Alberta, a single mom, building a business, and had maybe 1% confidence.

But I kept showing up.
I introduced myself.
I talked about my business.
I let myself be seen.

And somewhere along the way, I stopped just walking into the room.

I started creating the room.

Today, I host the room!

A little reminder: you don’t need to feel confident before you show up. Sometimes confidence comes because you did. by @holly_penney
