What a night! No panel script, no highlight reel, just a room full of sharp, generous women trading real stories across industries. Honest conversation, and women showing up for each other in a way that's rare to find. That's why I love this community.

That was the spirit behind the Jewish Women in Business: Fireside Chat, hosted by JEWL (Jewish Executive Women Leadership), the Jewish Grad Organization's community for the next generation of Jewish women in leadership. We talked about the pivots nobody plans for, the moments that tested us, and what success actually looks like once you stop borrowing someone else's definition of it.

I recently joined CNBC’s “Squawk on the Street” to talk through what’s driving markets right now, and there’s plenty to sort through.

Signals point to a likely Fed rate hike this week as policymakers continue working to bring inflation down, with the European Central Bank having already raised rates last week. Oil prices are adding to inflationary pressures, while the 10-year yield has continued to grind higher as markets price in a higher-for-longer rate environment. Even so, the market has largely held its ground. Q1 and Q2 earnings generally surprised to the upside, and analysts have responded by revising next year’s estimates even higher, a sign this strength has some grounding in fundamentals.

Heading into year end, I do think volatility could pick up, with geopolitical tension, oil prices, midterm elections, and higher rates all at play. Still, I draw a distinction between volatility and vulnerability. Strong corporate earnings and generally healthy balance sheets may give this market continued room to run, even as the noise around it builds. My takeaway is one of measured confidence: the fundamentals underpinning this market appear strong enough to withstand near-term turbulence, which reinforces the case for staying invested and focused on the long term.

I joined @cnbc “Squawk on the Street” with @saraeisenfx and Carl Quintanilla to talk through what’s driving markets right now and what I’m watching next.

Stocks continue to reach new highs, supported by second quarter earnings that came in stronger and broader than expected. At the same time, inflation remains above the Fed’s 2% target, job growth has cooled, and the conflict in the Middle East continues to keep oil and pump prices in focus. That’s especially relevant heading into the midterms, where affordability has emerged as the defining issue for voters. While there is likely more volatility ahead, it doesn’t seem like a warning sign or a signal of recession. My view: this bull market still has room to run, even as the risks beneath it build, which is a case for staying cautiously optimistic, not complacent.

My larger point, as always, is the one that matters most. A portfolio’s job isn’t only to perform. It needs to be built to weather volatility and protect on the downside, so it holds up when uncertainty hits, not just when markets cooperate. by @hollykroft

What a privilege to join @stephaniehirschart to help raise funds for @davidlynchfoundation Women’s Health Initiative. Transcendental Meditation is proven to have profound healing powers. And this initiative is bringing the practice into hospitals to help nurses cope with anxiety, PTDSD and depression. The initiative is also bringing TM to college campuses where anxiety, depression and suicide rates are at an all time high for 18-25 years olds. What they are doing is making TM cool and accessible (free) to populations who will really benefit. @meditationbob taught me the power of Transcendental Meditation and i use is in my daily life to help me manage my life efficiently and happily running at 1,000 miles per hour. It provides the calm in the eye of the storm. As an added bonus, my lifelong friend @adamlippes brought his beautiful couture collection and donated a percentage of sales to the initiative. @meditationbob led the group in a guided meditation and @adamlippes provided a beautiful couture salon at @stephaniehirschart fabulous home. What an honor and a privilege to participate in supporting such an important cause. . by @hollykroft

Longevity isn't a number. It's a daily practice.

What an afternoon! I hosted @franklipmanmd and @keriglassman for a luncheon conversation on aging well, and it went far beyond the usual advice. We talked through nutrition, sleep, and stress as real, daily levers of vitality. We talked about connection, and why isolation ages us faster than almost anything else.

But the point that stayed with me: none of it matters without meaning and purpose. You can optimize every input and still miss the thing that actually makes life feel long and full.
That's the piece nobody puts on a checklist.

It was a privilege to discuss the responsibility that comes with advising families through periods of uncertainty, why protecting irreplaceable wealth requires discipline as much as conviction, and how today's market environment is creating opportunities for active investors beyond the market's biggest names.
