Clever AI creating a graphic based on my MRI report to show me all the places I am broken 🙃 That explains why my hamstrings we were so sore running London Marathon and I struggle to sit for periods without pain 😭

Something to work with now rather than guesswork. @jrendurancecoaching working on a rehab plan. Day one - rest!

Excited to work my (sore) backside off to get back running fast again 🫡 I just need to ensure I don’t rush anything.

Hyrox London in 7 weeks is a bit of a concern 😱 but at least I didn’t try and run Chicago marathon last week 🤷‍♀️

Had the best time pacing 55 minutes at the @linlithgow10k yesterday. What a great bunch of runners @geoffpendrill and I had around us. So much determination and grit, despite the rain, puddles and undulation.

It’s always a privilege to help others achieve PBs, so thank you for letting me be part of the team again.

Pretty cool to be running around the far side of the loch and hear @davidwmarshall80 announce @jamiecrowe7 had just taken the course record in 29:20.

And thank you to the old hamstrings that were a little bit annoying but didn’t ruin my run 🫡

Scottish masters champ in the 50m backstroke 🤩 So delighted! 35:47 on the clock - improving from 37:21 a few years ago. I was narrowly pipped to 1st in the 100m backstroke but swam a 1:16:47 improving by almost 3 seconds so I cannot really complain. Just the lack of training showing there as I led the whole way until the last 10 metres 🙈

Thank you for the videos Fraser from @swim_itswimmingclub who kindly let me race for their club again. I hope I did you proud.

I also took a punt at the 100 IM and dropped from a 1:21:01 to a 1:19:46 and 50 breaststroke where I dropped from a 41:96 to a 40:02 (oh to have not glided into the finish 🙊).

Shout out to my mum who came up from the Lakes to cheer me on and @jredtri who spent all day in the pool supporting. Thank you 🙏

For anyone interested, I’ve added three of my races filmed by Fraser and @caitlinlsmith99 (Fraser won gold in the 50 back too and Caitlin smashed the 400 free 🙌) I’m in the black hat, usually in a middle lane. In a race suit I bought off Vinted mid-week 😝

Maybe I should start doing a bit of training again because my arms are totally 💀 tonight!

I’ve found the solution to pre-work goggle marks 💁‍♀️

Having now swum 10 times in two weeks, I’ve swum a third more than I’d managed all year 🤪

Doctor told me no breaststroke. Have only entered the 50M. And an IM. I’m a genius. What could possibly go wrong.

Scottish Half 2026 💩

They say you never regret a run, but today was that day. I was silly trying to run today - but it was so expensive to enter, I was determined to go get that tshirt!

Today, both legs were killing me from about 5k. Grateful to @alimalone1979 who was struggling with her own niggles and dropped back to chum me. I was delighted when she kept stopping for the loo so I had time to stretch out my legs 😖

Sadly I now know Chicago is out ❌ (again)

I will need to cut right back on the running and try and get to the bottom of the pain as I’m a little bit over running in discomfort all the time.

A hard earned medal followed by lots of chaotic fun trying to get home afterwards 🙈
