📍 Wallowa, Oregon

Dirty, dusty, tired, and deer down!! 🙌🏹 Nothing better than making memories in the mountains, and this year was extra special with the parents joining in on the adventure! A whole lot of dirt, a little chaos, and memories we’ll be talking about for years. 🏕️🌲

Who knew… but the Lord. 🤍

Growing up, I dreamed of being a school teacher—specifically a 4th grade teacher. And here I am, starting my 10th year homeschooling my 4 kids and serving as the director of a co-op.
.
God’s plans are always better. Even when you can’t see them yet. 🙏🏼
.
Sometimes the dream He places in your heart just looks different than you imagined. And sometimes, years later, you realize He was preparing you all along.
.
Back-to-school prep looks a little different around here—but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 🥹📚✏️

40.🤍
Today I’m reflecting on just how many prayers have been answered in my life. When I look at my family, my home, my children, and the life God has given me, I can’t help but think… somebody prayed. 🙏🏼
This life hasn’t always been easy. It’s been filled with hard work, sacrifice, communication, tough seasons, and painful losses. But through it all, God has been faithful.

I’m so thankful for the privilege of being a stay-at-home mom, for my children, and for a husband who loves our family, supports me, and stands beside me through every season. ❤️

I’m grateful for wise counsel, encouraging friends, and a church home that keeps pointing us back to Him.

40 feels like a beautiful reminder to pause and simply say, Thank You, Lord. For the blessings, the lessons, the people, and the prayers answered.

Somebody prayed… and I’m living in the evidence. 🤍

“Me time” as a homeschool SAHM can be tough.
I could spiral thinking about all the things, time, vacations, and freedom I don’t get… or I can choose to notice the small happiness and little joys that are available to me every day. 🤍

A special drink.
A 30-minute nap.
Eye patches in the car while I drop my daughter off at a friend’s house. 😂
A quiet moment to myself.

The small things really do keep me going.

And I’m genuinely thankful and appreciative of the life we’ve created. It may not always look like the freedom I imagined, but there is so much beauty in it.

And when I do want a mom’s trip? I communicate with my husband, we budget for it, and we make it happen in a way that works for our family.

An overnight beach trip.
Staying at a friend’s house.
Using credit card points.
Finding a small window and making it work.

It doesn’t have to be extravagant to count.

Everything can be done within reason. Sometimes we just have to get creative. 🌊✨

Our Flowers family camping trip at KOA Warrenton was one for the books! Papa and Maga treated us to two nights in a cozy cabin, and we packed every minute with fun—pool days, hot tub relaxing, bike rides, driving on the beach, evening kite flying, and a bonfire.
✨🌊🔥

So grateful for these moments and the memories we’ll be talking about for years to come. ❤️
