I want our children to remember a life we loved living together. 🤍

The adventures. The friends around our table. The ordinary evenings when we stayed outside a little longer because everyone was having too much fun to come in.

It’s easy to get caught up in wanting the next thing. But so much of what makes life rich can’t be bought.

Time together. Deep friendships. Shared experiences. Memories that still make you laugh years later.

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying beautiful things. I just want us to leave enough room in our days to enjoy each other.

Invite the friends. Pack the picnic. Play the game. Make room at the table.

A full life has so much more to do with who we love and how we spend our days than how much we own.

Thirty years of friendship. What a gift. 🤍

There’s something precious about a friend who knew you as a child and now knows your children. Someone who has walked through changing seasons with you, shared your joy, carried your grief, and kept showing up.

Friendships like these deserve to be treasured and tended. Make the phone call. Plan the visit. Keep making memories together.

I’m so thankful for the friends God has allowed me to grow up with and grow older alongside.

Tag someone below whose friendship you treasure, whether it’s been three years or thirty. Let them know you’re thankful for them. 🤎

We’re the house where we still do old-fashioned fun. 🤎

Mostly tech-free, usually outside, and always room for another friend.

Bikes in the driveway, muddy shoes by the door, made-up games, and “Can they stay a little longer?”

There’s something sweet about giving children time to make their own fun, build real friendships, and spend an afternoon together without a screen.

That’s the kind of home we’re working to build. A place where friends feel welcome and childhood has room to unfold.

Anyone else raising their kiddos with a little old-fashioned fun?

What a great day at the Sunday Market!

Thank you to everyone who came out to shop small, grab a bite to eat, and support our amazing local vendors. Every purchase made today helped support small businesses in our community, and we’re so grateful for everyone who stopped by.

If you missed us this week, don’t worry—we’ll be back next Sunday from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM at Mt Hood Center with more local vendors, delicious food, and a relaxing day of shopping.

Bring your friends and come spend your Sunday with us. We can’t wait to see you next weekend!

Somehow twelve kids felt easy, and I think that’s because of the mom I got to do it with.

The truth is, motherhood was never meant to be done alone. There is something sweet about having a friend who understands the chaos, laughs at the mishaps, shares the snacks, helps carry the load, and reminds you to enjoy the moment.

Outnumbered but not defeated, because I had my adventure friend by my side. ❤️

From playground days to playdates, God has been kind to give me a friend to do life with.

Day two at Silverwood was our wet day, and it was everything summer memories should be. Between the water slides, lazy river, wave pool, splash pads, and lots and lots of water, twelve kids stayed happily occupied from open to close.

One thing we learned that was a huge win for large families was getting there early and claiming a home base. We picked a shaded spot right in front of the big splash pad area, and it ended up being the perfect setup. The little ones could play safely while the big kids came and went between slides and rides. It gave everyone a place to regroup, eat snacks, and rest for a bit before heading back out.

These kinds of trips aren’t necessarily restful, but they are full of memories. Sun-kissed cheeks, tired little bodies, and happy kids falling asleep on the drive home. We are so thankful for sweet friends, summer adventures, and another year of making memories together.

And if you’re heading to Silverwood with a big family, our best tip is simple: get there early and claim your spot. You’ll thank yourself later. ☀️💦

Two families, twelve kids, and two fun-filled days at Silverwood. What could possibly go wrong? 😂

We started with a dry day and packed in all the roller coasters and rides. Mistake number one came before we even got through the gate when we discovered that hard-sided coolers are not allowed. Thankfully, we were with good friends who graciously made room in their cooler for all of our random things. Friendship is apparently measured in cooler space.

We also had grand plans of all heading back to the cars for lunch together, but somewhere between wrangling kids and maximizing ride time, the dads became our designated food delivery service. They made the trek while the rest of us held our spots and kept the fun going.

And because Darren gets carsick just thinking about spinning rides, I ended up being the one riding all the big rides with the kids. I think they were pretty happy with that arrangement, and I have to admit, making memories with them from the front seat of the roller coaster was worth every scream and every laugh.

Trips like these are rarely smooth and never perfect, but they are full of stories we’ll laugh about for years. We’re thankful for sweet friends, adventurous kids, patient dads, and two days spent making memories together.

This sweet sister in Christ has been my friend since 3rd grade, and somehow after all these years, time together still feels the exact same. We sit down to talk, blink, and suddenly hours have passed feeling like only seconds.

Our children mesh together so naturally that ages and stages hardly matter. Babies, toddlers, boys, girls, teenagers, they all run outside together for hours making memories, playing games, and simply enjoying being together. It is one of those rare and beautiful friendships where your families fit together with ease.

Stephanie is the kind of friend who encourages you to love your husband well and points you back toward biblical priorities in motherhood and marriage. She is also the kind of woman who casually puts your toddler in the pack on her back while making lunch for 12 kids with complete ease so you can nurse your baby in peace without even having to ask.

And at the same time, she is also the kind of fiercely loyal friend who would jokingly offer to slash someone’s tires for you without hesitation.

She is faithful, kind, wise, hardworking, and such a gift to my life. I am deeply grateful to call her my friend.

I got to meet up with some sweet friends at the park today, and there were two moments that really stayed with me afterward.

The first was arriving with my three youngest all needing mama at the same time, and immediately being surrounded by women who stepped in without hesitation, holding babies, snuggling sleeping toddlers, and helping carry the load so naturally and lovingly. There is something so beautiful about women who quietly serve one another in the little moments.

The second was realizing that even though we moved away three years ago, these dear friends and their wonderful children still intentionally make time to come spend the day with us. And somehow, within minutes, we are right back into meaningful conversations, encouragement, laughter, and talking deeply about life, motherhood, and Christ like no time has passed at all.

Friendships like these are such a gift, and I left the park feeling very thankful for the kind of community that refreshes your heart and reminds you that true friendship rooted in Christ remains steady through every season and distance.

Forty looked like this and I love it all!

Conversations that go deep. Laughter that doesn’t need explaining. The kind of friendship where you can pick right back up and be fully known.

We filled the weekend with simple things: protein coffee, a hike to a waterfall, late nights talking, journaling, planning homeschooling but it was the time together that made it full. Talking through life, sharpening one another, reminding each other what matters.

This is the kind of friendship I want to keep building: intentional, honest, rooted, and life-giving.

So thankful for these women

Forty felt like a gift this weekend.

Four dear friends traveled miles just to be here what a kindness I don’t take lightly. We filled the days and nights with the kind of moments that stay with you: long conversations, deep laughter, honest encouragement, and quiet reminders of God’s goodness.

Late nights by the fire and in the hot tub, talking through homeschooling, parenting, faith, friendship and all the in-between places of life. Slow mornings with coffee, a hike to a waterfall, facials, journaling, dreaming, and planning for the days ahead.

There is something sacred about being known and loved by women who point you back to truth and walk alongside you in it.

Better together.
Grateful for friendship.
