A 1920s Craftsman bungalow, four kids, and a Swarovski chandelier that came with the house 🏡✨ LaToya (@latuce) and Andrew Tucciarone (@andrewtucciarone) bought their Atlanta home in 2022 and blended her love of "old house style" with modern, sustainable, family-friendly living. LaToya, founder of SustainAble Home Goods, filled it with warm natural light, indoor plants, and a dining room she calls the most romantic space in the house, complete with peel-and-stick wallpaper and vintage floral plates from a local shop. Proof that a home can be beautiful, sustainable, and built for real life all at once. Pink turf. Flamingos. A custom shelf that hides the TV. This Atlanta condo is giving full tropical dream 🌴🖤 Creative duo @michellenorrisphoto and @forrestaguar filled their first home with Atlanta artist pieces, a Memphis-inspired shelving unit, and a patio that feels like its own little getaway. Their bedroom keeps the fun going with funky mirrors and playful lockers for storage. This is what happens when a home fully reflects who you are. This Atlanta home doesn't just have art on the walls, it has a whole world in every room 🖼️🖤 Curator Demanti O'Bryant (@demantistclaire) turned his 1960s Atlanta house into a living museum, with over 35 countries represented across pieces by Black artists. Walk through a Greek Roman inspired entryway anchored by a Blackamoor Lamp, into a Baroque living room painted deep chocolate with gold frames for that "understated luxury" feel, then into a gothic medieval den filled with South African paintings. This is what it looks like when a home becomes a love letter to art and culture. Fall doesn't need pumpkins on every shelf to be a vibe 🍂🕯️ Think warm layered textures: chunky knit throws, amber toned glassware, and candles that smell like cinnamon without screaming basic. Swap out bright summer linens for deep rust, olive, and burnt orange accents. A few dried floral stems in a ceramic vase go a long way too. Small swaps, big mood shift. Your home should feel like a hug the second the temperature drops. “My home is a reflection of me. My perky personality, I think, comes out in my design style.” There’s something special about being welcomed into a designer’s home. Taking a step into their abode feels like entering their creative mind. That’s how it felt when we were invited to designer Tamara McLaughlin’s Los Angeles pad for Home & Texture’s House Tours. Although there are elements of mid-century modern design in her home, she describes her style as being eclectic. Watch the full episode on Blavity's YouTube! #homedecor #blackhomes by @homeandtexture

A Black woman's Barbie dreamhouse! 😍 🎀 🏡 Home&Texture was welcomed into creative director Marissa Calhoun’s (@marissa_calhoun_) 1920’s Spanish-Style home located in Inglewood, California. This three-bedroom, two-bathroom home allowed Calhoun to lay roots down after moving to Los Angeles five years ago. “ Having a pandemic and trying to house hunt — all of those things led me here. And so I feel really grateful to call this place home,” Calhoun shares in the episode. Across continents, designers continue to draw from the region’s layered textures, natural materials, and sense of ease :sparkles:✨ Walk into a North African home and the first thing you notice isn’t a single statement piece or a perfectly styled corner. It’s the atmosphere — the way the room holds warmth, the way textures, color and objects settle into one another with ease. Nothing feels overly arranged, yet every detail is intentional. Across Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Algeria, interiors are influenced by a connection to craft and daily life. 🔗Read the full story at the link in bio #homeandtexture #northafricandecor by @homeandtexture

This actually needs to be marked a NYC landmark 🗽 $27M for a piece of pop culture history? We love to see it. ✨ According to The New York Post, Mariah Carey is parting ways with her iconic NYC penthouse—and yes, it’s the same three-story Tribeca dream home that gave us everything on MTV Cribs back in 2001. From over-the-top glam to timeless luxury, this space is more than real estate—it’s a moment in design history. Would you keep the nostalgia or redesign it completely? 👀 #mariahcarey #nostalgia #mtvcribs by @homeandtexture
