A new space to find your inspiration place.

At 44, I picked up a paintbrush I had been afraid to touch for 15 years. I had ideas. I had creativity. But every time I thought about painting again, I talked myself out of it. Would it look right? Would anybody like it? Was I even good enough?

Then somewhere in the middle of decorating my home, a light came on. 💡 I wanted my walls to feel like me, and I realized I had something of my own to put on them. So I picked up the brush with all those questions still in my head and started painting.

Now here I am, sitting among pieces I once would have been too scared to create, much less share.( expect the beauty lady with the gold earring. That was purchased)

Deep down, I’ve always felt God had more for me. I’m finally learning to loosen my grip on what I thought my life had to look like and let Him show me the way.

I don’t have every step figured out. But at 44, I’m willing to pick up the brush and see where He leads. 🤎 #homedecor #homedecorinspo #art #homedecorideas #maximalisthome

MONDAY RESET ✨

While most people are getting their week started, Sundays and Mondays are my weekend. A little time to unplug, recharge, reset, and pour back into myself before the madness begins.

This week is about to be HECTIC, so this downtime is not a luxury… it’s necessary. I’m protecting my peace, restoring my energy, and enjoying every unhurried moment before I shift back into full creative mode. 💆🏽‍♀️✨

Rest is productive too. 🤎

Most of the glasses you see here are from Crate & Barrel, CB2, Target, HomeGoods, and Anthropologie. Apparently, I have a type. ✨

The Big Reveal!

I said I’d get it done by Friday and here it is!! WHEW! It was supposed to be a marathon but I whittled down the lead and turned it into a SPRINT! 🤣🤣🤣 With a bum knee and all!

There are a few details I did not get to, but I’m happy with it so far! Here’s the changes so far:
*Cleared out some leftover furniture the room no longer needed;
*Gave the room a color drenching. I whipped out my @handypaintpail and painted all of the white trim and ceiling Gracious Rose by @sherwinwilliams. It’s a beautiful shade of pink, just a tick darker than the already pink walls;
*Played musical chairs with the remaining furniture. Now the plants are all facing the windows and soaking up all that glorious light;
*Added a sweet planting cart. To a mere mortal, it looks like a bar cart, but I’m going to use it for repotting plants!
*
*A gallery wall! I’ve always wanted one but just hadn’t tackled it. The @oneroomchallenge was the PERFECT time to give it a go! It’s a mix of prints that I’ve had for WAY too long and some snapshots of me and my plants! Including a few from my book, ‘Happy Plants, Happy You.”
*Last but not least: added a peacock chair! A PEACOCK CHAIR! You know I’m going to complete surround it with plants and take MADDDDDDD pictures! Maddd! I finally have a proper throne. 🤣🤣

This is the reveal, BUT I have a few more projects planned for this room. Stay tuned!

LOUNGE REVEAL: Tucked away just out of sight, this space was designed to be the go-to spot for relaxing, entertaining, and slowing things down. Because we were working with a larger open area, we intentionally broke the space into two connected experiences.

The sitting area was designed to feel comfortable, calming, and easy to unwind in, while the bar creates a more social moment made for hosting and conversations. Together, every detail was selected to make the space feel warm, functional, and easy to live in.

The Primary Bedroom ✨

Take a breath…..this is where the relaxation and rest takes place for our client after travels and a long day. It’s edgy, yet calm- thoroughly equipped with a setting for romantic nights.

They will now enjoy their own personal retreat from daily stress where they can dim the lights and rejuvenate in quiet luxury.
