As prairie boys we love a good grain elevator. Spotted this one in Tyndall, South Dakota on our way out west. Beautiful structure and age to it. Super big silo/elevator. Had to pull Gus over for a photo op and see the town. Hope you enjoy. Cheers!

🌾👨‍🌾🚜🛤️🚂🌄🐄🌱 Bus conversion mural! (Driver's side)

We have recieved lots of comments and questions on our exterior murals and wanted to show and explain! All sides of the bus have a hand painted mural that wraps around. There are two main themes on the mural, the driver's side mural is a "Prairie Theme". We (Mitch/Nick) are both from agricultural farming communities, and long flat land with immense farming is a way of life out here. We wanted to take a slice of "back home" with us along with the journey, so a wide open field with crops and some freight trains was the subject of choice.

Freight trains and silos/elevators are commonplace back home. Some of the early history of the towns we grew up near had the elevator as a grounding centerpiece for the development of the area. Since out Homescapes Mural Tour kicks off in Nick's farm state and ends up in Mitch's farm state, it only felt right to go with a picturesque farm scene. A scene that shows the full cycle of the agricultural industry. Crops grow. They are harvested. They are transported to make the food and services requested by all!

I hope you enjoyed these images and my little write up on this mural. Lots of hard work, brush strokes, and sprays went into each mural on the bus and I have been stoked to share more closely, details of each side and share the backstory. What do YOU think of the mural?

🌋🗻🏞️🌲🏔️ Took Gus to meet Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier. 👀

Pretty surreal seeing mountains like these up close! Nick, from Indiana, hasn't seen much mountains other than the Appalachian range in the Midwest, so these were impressive to him. Especially snow capped Mt. Rainier. Seeing Mt. St. Helens was also pretty gnarly... Hard to imagine the force and sound of her erupting... Half of the entire mountain is gone and even while we were there, she was smoking every second. Neat to be there but also awesomely terrifying. Set to erupt again within 100-300 years. We are both stoked on how good of views we were able to get to these natural beauties, and impressed Gus was able to handle the mountain hills like a CHAMP. We hope you enjoy these photos as much as it was to be there.

ALSO A MURAL UPDATE: We are giving it our best shot. Behind each of these photos here are days of being in towns, walking by, taking notes, calling, walking into storefronts and asking about doing a mural. Many times the business isn't set up to be able to do/afford a mural at the time, or just soooo much red tape. When we sought out to do this tour we imagined locking walls down would be cake! But the more we go to towns and ask around and step foot into businesses we are reminded that each business is different and doing what they can. So many businesses are having to play along with the red tape in a community that likes to have input in every decision. This has been the main hurdle. Hearing things like "we would absolutely love a mural but sadly, a project like this has to go through the review board and they will revise it to death and you are looking at months if not years out from being able to actually start painting". These are not excuses however and we are not giving up! Simply letting you know we are still at it each day seeking the wall, the business, and the team that will make the next one happen! Very lucky to have connected with @noonrockpizza when we did. Much love! We tryin' !!

⛲🪨⛰️⛪🛤️🚂💦 INSANE hike down to Palouse Falls.

Crazy views here. This was a few days back but the photos and vids from here are pretty crazy. Originally we just saw the falls from across the park which is where most people see it from. But then we saw a lady walking right near the top of the falls... We shouted out and asked how you got down there and she told us how. Few minutes later we are scaling the canyon all the way down to the waterfall itself. Crazy hike, wouldn't suggest it if you like light hiking but well worth it. 🌉🚂🛤️🏞️🚍 Riverfront Trestle Cookout.

Doesn't get much better than this. A few days ago, passing through Washington, we passed this insane railroad trestle and had to stop by. Riverfront chilling. Legit, right as we started cooking up dinner on the propane grill, we look over and a train is about to roll onto the bridge. Insane! One of our favorite moments of the trip thus far. Hope you enjoy seeing these photos/vids!

Also, a reminder, photos only can do so much. Sure it looks neat but with life... Idk, it seems that nothing compares to actually being at a place. National parks, cool landscapes, awesome cities, etc.. it's all relative. But actually sitting in a place and chilling there for a bit and taking it all in gives you all the senses of an experience. All that just to say, go for a drive today! Go somewhere new even if it's around your block. A road you haven't taken before. Just go somewhere and see what you find. We just rounded a corner and this insane bridge was there. Never know what's around the bend. -Nick
