Happy 13 years, Love. In my vows I said that marriage will be our greatest adventure and that has proven true many times over.

I've come to realize through the years that everyone changes over time. We are both certainly different people than when we first met. We have thankfully been blessed to change together, in the same direction.

Here's to many more years and many more memories. May we always assume the best of each other and may our understanding and kindness only continue to grow.

On this day 7 years ago @homestedt_ and I found a property for sale that wasn't listed and the "For Sale" sign was flipped the wrong direction because one of the owners didn't really want to sell it.

I immediately called the number on the sign and we bought the land shortly thereafter in the hopes of living there soon.

Life happened. A pandemic happened. Building a home is an uphill process, but we kept hope alive.

We often get asked, "when will you be moving in?" Our Contractor has told us by the end of this month, but I've never put a date in my head so I won't get frustrated if we go past that date. It will be worth it in the end and it will happen as it's meant to happen. by @homestedt_

This too shall pass.

A reminder that life is fleeting, a universal statement that everything, the bad and the good, all of it comes to an end.

But it doesn't have to be today.

I am beyond thankful for this end and this beginning, the many miles we have to go and the many roads we have yet to take in this yellow wood.

Thank you Harlan 💛

It feels like I'm hallucinating each time we check in on our house. It's humbling to think that we'll be able to live here some day soon. We have a roof! And I'm so excited about it.

Huge thank you to Amanda for helping with so many of the design choices on this project. I would be so lost without her. taken in Alaska by @homestedt_
