Today, we honor the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, which led the U.S. to enter World War II.

After 16 years, Help Our Military Heroes is preparing to say farewell. 2025 will be our last year of operation.

With a modest original goal of helping twenty injured Veterans acquire wheelchair accessible vans, our organization has accomplished that mission and much more!

Since 2009, HOMH has helped over 275 Veterans and their families acquire wheelchair accessible and modified vehicles and regain their mobility, independence, and freedom. Our Veterans come from all branches of service and span all conflicts going back to World War II. (Please see our website for some of their pictures and stories.)

But we didn’t do it alone! Together with YOUR help, and that of our thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters, we raised over 5.5 million dollars! THANK YOU! Words alone cannot express our profound gratitude for each and every one of you, and we know our Veterans share our thanks. You are all part of our HOMH family, and always will be.

As we wind down our services this year, please know that we will continue to take applications until all funds are exhausted. We will, however, no longer be accepting donations. We have updated our web site and Social media pages to spread the news, and we will continue to add to both as we continue to help as many Veterans as we can with our remaining funds.

We are happy to offer some suggestions if you would like recommendations as to where you donations for our veterans may go in the future. There are many local and nation-wide non-profits helping our Veterans that are excellent, and would be happy for your support.

Whether you say Oorah! or Hooah!; Semper Paratus or Semper Fidelis; or Fair Winds and Following Seas, we salute you and say farewell.

It has been a blessing and an honor to serve you! taken in Help Our Military Heroes by @homheroes
