Congratulations to the Milpitas Farmers' Market on 10 wonderful years of bringing our community together!

For a decade, the market has supported local farmers and small businesses while giving families a welcoming place to enjoy fresh produce, delicious food, and meaningful connections with neighbors.

Thank you to all the vendors, organizers, volunteers, and community members who have helped make the Milpitas Farmers' Market such a special part of our city.

Here’s to 10 amazing years—and many more to come! 🌽🍓🥕❤️

On September 12 and again on September 19, 2026, Sewa Bay Area came together to commemorate the 25th Memorial of 911 through a meaningful Sewa Day of Service. It was inspiring to see our community come together with compassion and a shared spirit of service established to turn tragedy into a force for positive change by fostering unity, compassion, and community resilience.

The 67th Annual Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet honoring Milpitas individuals and businesses was a great success thanks to the leadership of Chamber of Commerce president Armando Gomez and his hard-working team.
I was honored to be the Master of Ceremonies this year to help recognize the award recipients.

Congratulations to all for the well-deserved recognition of your commitment to the Milpitas community.

What an exhilarating and insightful conference and a great opportunity to establish new contacts and renew existing relationships with other city key leaders at the League of California Cities Conference in Anaheim this week. Sharing best practices helps us all develop new ideas. Notable guest speakers included Stephanie Chung, Aviation Industry Executive Leader and Author, Wheels Up; José Hernández Former NASA Astronaut, Engineer and Author; and Greg Lindsay Urbanist, Futurist, and Bestselling Author.

I am so impressed with the proactive efforts of the Milpitas Police Department to engage the community through outreach programs.

These programs strengthen a sense of community between law enforcement and our citizens; which helps create a healthy support environment that goes both ways. This weekend Cars & Coffee with The Cops was a great example. Even if one wasn’t a car-fanatic, there were so many impressive vintage, muscle, and high-end cars there I think everyone could point to one and say “That’s the one I’d want”.

Did you have a favorite?

I was truly honored and energized by the warm, enthusiastic reception I received today at a Viet League Soccer event. The passion and dedication these players bring to the game was inspiring—and I’m grateful for the same spirit of support and encouragement they showed me.

Thank you so much for welcoming me and for your kind words and support. It genuinely meant a lot to me, and I was truly moved by the experience.

And if you check out the last few photos, you’ll see that they even gave me the honor of kicking off the game! Take a look at the intensity of my mental preparation, my approach, and finally the kick—as I sent that ball sailing to get the game underway.
⚽️

Serving as Mayor of Milpitas is a serious responsibility, and one I would approach with that same preparation, focus, energy, commitment, determination, and integrity to everything I do in service to our community.
Thank you again for your friendship, encouragement, and support. It was a wonderful day, and one I won’t soon forget.

I’m proud to be the sole mayoral candidate endorsed by the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council that represents 101 unions and more than 100,000 union members in Santa Clara and San Benito counties. As we celebrated Labor Day the annual BBQ was a great time to recognize the role Labor plays in contributing to the economic growth and vibrant business community in Milpitas.

I wanted to express my appreciation to the Chamber of Commerce, President Armando Gomez Jr., Nick Kosla of Toll Brothers for sponsoring the networking event.

It was great to see so many business and other leaders in Milpitas. It was especially gratifying to hear that our campaign focus on reducing the chaos in City Hall has resonated. A number of leaders confirmed that we need new leadership who will respect our government process and staff. Many commented that they have already heard good things about our new City Manager, Willie Hopkins, and recognized that he is already making some great changes. Thank you Mr. City Manager!

We also want to express appreciation for the staff and volunteers of the Chamber, this was a very successful event.
