We’re pleased to announce Dr. Oluwafunmilayo R. Ajala as a speaker at the Corps Climate Literacy Trainers Workshop 2.

Dr. Funmilayo will deliver the Partner’s Welcome Remarks, welcoming participating Corps Members to the programme and setting the tone for a learning journey centred on climate education, youth participation and practical community action.
A dental surgeon, researcher and sustainability advocate, she is also a founding member of Youth Sustainability Development of Nigeria, Head of Finance at Eco-Learn Nigeria, and a member of the Youth Advisory Council under the Netherlands Consulate in Nigeria.

We look forward to her remarks as we officially welcome our second cohort of Climate Literacy Trainers.

We’re pleased to announce Tolulope Gbenro, President of Grow with D Oracle Empowerment Foundation, as a speaker at the Corps Climate Literacy Trainers Workshop 2.

Tolulope will take the Welcome Address and lead a session on “Understanding Climate Change: Causes, Effects and Local Impacts,” helping participating Corps Members strengthen their understanding of climate change and, importantly, connect global climate issues to the realities within our local communities.

With nearly a decade of experience across social impact, climate action, renewable energy, youth empowerment and capacity development, and having empowered over 6,000 young people through various initiatives, we look forward to the knowledge and practical perspectives she will bring to the cohort.

We’re pleased to announce Omatseye Carpe, Development Professional at Eco-Learn Nigeria, as a speaker at the Corps Climate Literacy Trainers Workshop 2.

Omatseye will lead a practical session on “How to Engage Schools and Communities in Climate Education,” helping participating Corps Members understand how to effectively take climate learning beyond the training room and meaningfully engage students, schools and communities during their step-down activities.

Amidu will lead an important session on “How to Plan and Deliver a Step-Down Climate Literacy Training for Pupils,” equipping participating Corps Members with practical approaches to take climate knowledge beyond the workshop and into their schools and communities.

The first cohort of the Corp Climate Literacy program empowered 14 Fellows, 635 Children and Youths, 2000+ Household, and led to the reduction of 3 Tons of C02Emissions through climate conscious behaviours.

The Corp Climate Literacy Project is a program by the Grow with D Oracle Empowerment Foundation that aims to empower corp members with climate literacy skills and as change agents driving environmental sustainability.

For this cohort, we are partnering with Eco-Learn Nigeria to empower corp members with young people and children with climate literacy skills and environmental conscious behaviour in Lagos Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria:
✅️Be currently serving NYSC Corp Members in Lagos, Nigeria.
✅️Aged between 18 and 30 years
✅️Be physically available to attend the official program launch event in Lagos.
✅️Commit to participate in the one month learning phase (October 2026 - November 2026)
✅️Commit to conducting a mandatory step-down training (Capstone) for children.

Female Corps Members are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications are now open for Cohort 2 of the Corps Climate Literacy Program!

We are excited to partner with HoneNYSC on the second cohort of the Corps Climate Literacy Program, an initiative designed to equip serving Corps Members with climate knowledge, practical skills and the capacity to step down their learning to students and children within their communities.

At Eco-Learn Nigeria, this partnership strongly aligns with our commitment to expanding access to climate education and empowering more young people to become climate-conscious changemakers.
The one-month programme will run from October to November 2026, and we are looking for passionate NYSC Corps Members currently serving in Lagos, particularly those serving in schools.
