Thank you for the generosity to our donors and friends for the support in student scholarships through this academic year. Private scholarships play a vital role in making life-changing impact for our students.

The Irvin D. Reid Honors College Donor Appreciation event allowed for Honors students to express how donors’ generous support has assisted in the completion of their education. by @honorsatwayne

The Detroit Youth Health Expo, which invites high school students to campus to explore careers and opportunities in medicine and health care, is an amazing example of what’s possible when you dream of something, team up, and do it.

Founded three years ago by Andrew Robinson, Mohammad Muntakim and James Wairagu, who were all Wayne Med-Direct students at the time and now in the WSU School of Medicine, the Detroit Youth Health Expo brings together our community of health professionals and young students to create more access to opportunities.

Provost Bloebaum helped kick off the two-day conference, speaking with undergrad and grad students during yesterday’s welcome. This year was the first time the event held programming for university students, and we can’t wait to see the Detroit Youth Health Expo continue to expand! by @honorsatwayne

We are thrilled to announce that Wayne State junior T’Emi Oshin has been selected for the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service. What an honor and an opportunity!

The Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service was founded by the @obamafoundation and Brian Chesky, CEO and co-founder of Airbnb, to help shape young leaders who can bridge divides and solve today’s most pressing challenges. T’Emi Oshin is that leader!

As A Voyager, T’Emi will have access to mentors, networking, travel funds and more.

Congratulations, T’Emi! We can’t wait to see what you do and all the places you’ll go! by @honorsatwayne
