📖 A Little Life — Hanya Yanagihara 🖤

I had heard so much about this book before starting it — that it was heartbreaking, emotionally heavy, and one of those books that can be difficult to get through. So I went into it knowing that it wasn’t going to be an easy read.

And honestly… it wasn’t.

A Little Life is a beautiful but extremely painful story about friendship, love, trauma, and the things people carry silently for years. What stayed with me most was the friendship between the four characters and how deeply their lives become connected over time.

There were moments when I had to put the book down because it was simply too much to take in. It’s not the kind of book I would say I “enjoyed” reading, but it is definitely a book I felt.

I think that’s what makes it so difficult to review. Some books leave you excited, some leave you inspired — this one left me sitting quietly with my thoughts.

I understand now why so many readers warn you before picking it up. 🥺

Not an easy read. Not a light read. But definitely one I won’t forget.

📖❤️ I Too Had a Love Story — Ravinder Singh

I honestly didn’t expect this book to affect me the way it did.

While reading I Too Had a Love Story, I found myself getting attached to the characters and their little moments of happiness. It felt less like I was reading a story and more like I was watching someone’s real memories unfold in front of me.

There were moments that made me smile, moments that made my heart feel warm, and then there were moments that genuinely broke me. 💔

What stayed with me the most was the feeling of how precious love is, and how sometimes we don’t realize the value of certain moments until they become memories.

I finished this book with a heavy heart, but also with a strange appreciation for love, memories, and the people who become a part of our lives.

Definitely one of those books that I know I’ll think about long after finishing it. 🥹❤️

5/5 ⭐️

Some stories are read.
Some stories are felt.
This one was felt. ❤️📚

What if you could no longer trust your own mind? 👀

The Sleepwalker’s Lullaby is a psychological thriller that takes you into a world where sleepwalking, murder, hallucinations, medical science and hidden motives come together in one twisted mystery. 🧠🔪

The story revolves around Dr. Sanjay Kadam, a psychiatrist, whose seemingly perfect life takes a dark turn when his wife is found murdered and the evidence starts pointing towards him. But is everything really as it seems? Or is someone manipulating the truth from behind the scenes? 👁️

What I really enjoyed about this book was how the author keeps making you question every character and every assumption. Just when you think you’ve figured out the mystery, another piece of the puzzle changes everything. 🧩

The medical and psychological elements add a unique layer to the thriller, and the courtroom drama makes the story even more interesting. The twists are frequent, and the final revelations definitely make you rethink what you thought you knew. 😳

✨ What I liked:
• Intriguing psychological mystery 🧠
• Multiple twists & red herrings
• Interesting medical angle
• Suspenseful storyline
• An ending that makes you go, “WAIT… WHAT?!” 😭

If you enjoy psychological thrillers where you can’t trust anyone—not even your own mind—this one deserves a spot on your TBR! 📚🖤

Would I recommend it? Absolutely!
Especially if you love books that make you play detective while reading. 🔍

🌸📖 A story about family, friendships, mistakes, and figuring yourself out.

This Time Will Be Different by Misa Sugiura was such a refreshing YA contemporary read. It follows CJ, a teenager who is trying to navigate family expectations, friendships, relationships, and the pressure of figuring out who she really wants to be.

What I enjoyed most was how messy and relatable the characters felt. CJ isn’t perfect, and that’s exactly what made her journey interesting. There are misunderstandings, complicated relationships, and plenty of moments where you just want to tell the characters to please communicate! 😭

I also liked how the book explores second chances and the idea that changing your mind doesn’t mean you’ve failed — sometimes it simply means you’re growing. 🌱

Overall, it was a sweet, easy-to-read story with a good mix of family drama, friendship, romance, and self-discovery.

🌸📚 Another random pretty-cover pick from the book fair… and I’m actually glad I picked it up.

The Hopes and Triumphs of the Amir Sisters by Nadiya Hussain was one of those books I picked simply because the cover was pretty. 😂💗

And then, about 25% into the book, I found out that it’s actually the third book in a series. 😭

But thankfully, it can be read as a standalone, so I decided to continue — and I’m really glad I did.

What made this story special for me was Mea. As an introvert myself, I found myself connecting with her in so many little ways. Her thoughts, the way she handles people, and the way she navigates everything around her felt incredibly relatable. 🥹🫶

I loved how the story explores family, relationships, expectations, and finding your own place while surrounded by people you love. It felt warm, emotional, and very easy to get into.

Not a book I planned to buy.
Not a book I even knew was part of a series.
But definitely one of those unexpected reads that worked out. 💕

🚀✨ Sometimes the best books are the ones that introduce you to a whole new genre.

Rakshas: The Fall of Halcyon by M. Ninad was my first proper sci-fi read, and I honestly didn’t expect to enjoy it this much.

I usually gravitate toward thrillers and romance, so stepping into science fiction felt like a leap into the unknown. But once I started reading, I was completely immersed.

The futuristic world, advanced technology, high-stakes conflicts, and constant mysteries made every chapter exciting. I loved discovering this new universe and trying to piece together what was happening alongside the characters.

This book reminded me why it’s so much fun to step outside your comfort zone. It has definitely made me want to read more sci-fi.

And that ending? 😭
Now I’m counting down the days until the next book because I need to know what happens next.

⭐ 4.5/5 stars ⭐

🌙🐺 I picked up this book because of its cover… and ended up discovering a story I wasn’t expecting. ✨

Lycanthropy and Other Chronic Illnesses by Kristen O’Neal was a complete impulse buy from a book fair. My sister looked at the cover and said, “This is kind of cute!” 📚💛 So naturally, it came home with me.

I honestly didn’t know much about the book going in, and that’s what made the experience even better.

Through Priya’s story, I learned about chronic illnesses and invisible disabilities in a way I hadn’t before. It opened my eyes to experiences I wasn’t familiar with and reminded me that not every struggle is visible.

What I loved most was that, despite dealing with heavy topics, the book never lost its warmth. It balances friendship, humor, vulnerability, and hope so beautifully. 🥹

This was something completely new for me, and I’m really glad I picked it up. Sometimes the best reads are the ones you never planned to buy. ❤️

💙🌧️ This wasn’t a book I read… it was a conversation I needed.

I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki by Baek Sehee isn’t your typical self-help book. It’s a series of honest conversations between the author and her psychiatrist, exploring anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, and the struggle of simply trying to be okay.

What I loved most was how real it felt. There are no grand promises or instant solutions—just vulnerable thoughts that many of us have but rarely say out loud.

There were so many moments where I found myself thinking,
“Wait… I’ve felt that too.” 🥹

It’s the kind of book that makes you pause, reflect, and realize you’re not alone in your thoughts.

This isn’t a fast-paced or life-changing read in the traditional sense, but it’s comforting in a very quiet way. Sometimes, that’s exactly what we need. 🤍

⭐ 4.5/5 stars ⭐

If you’re looking for a gentle, reflective read rather than a motivational self-help book, I’d definitely recommend picking this up.

📚✨ Some books feel like a warm hug… The Lost Bookshop felt like coming home.

The Lost Bookshop by Evie Woods is a beautiful blend of mystery, magical realism, and historical fiction that completely pulled me in. ❤️

The story follows characters from different timelines whose lives become connected through a hidden bookshop filled with stories, hope, and second chances. Every chapter slowly reveals another piece of the puzzle, making it impossible not to keep turning the pages.

What I loved most was the atmosphere. It felt cozy, magical, and comforting, while also exploring themes of healing, courage, and finding yourself. 📖✨

The characters were beautifully written, and watching their journeys intertwine made the ending even more satisfying.

If you’re someone who believes books can find us when we need them the most, this story will feel extra special. 💛

💔✨ Some books entertain you. Some books change you. The Women did both.

The Women by Kristin Hannah is, without a doubt, a 5-star read. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went into this book expecting a historical fiction novel.
What I got was a powerful story about courage, friendship, sacrifice, resilience, and the women whose stories history often forgets.

Following Frankie through the Vietnam War and its aftermath was emotional, heartbreaking, frustrating, and inspiring all at once. There were moments that made me smile, moments that made me angry, and moments that completely broke my heart. 🥺

What I loved most was how real the characters felt. Their struggles, friendships, losses, and determination stayed with me long after I turned the last page.

Kristin Hannah has a way of making history feel deeply personal, and this book is proof of that.

By the end, I wasn’t just reading about these women—I was rooting for them, grieving with them, and celebrating them.

This is one of those books that reminds you why you love reading in the first place. 📚❤️

⭐ 5/5 stars ⭐

An unforgettable story and one of the best books I’ve read this year.

🖤🏝️ How is this my first Agatha Christie?!

And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie was absolutely incredible — and easily one of the best mystery books I’ve ever read. 🤯

Ten strangers.
One isolated island.
A series of mysterious deaths.

And from the very first page, the suspense never lets up.

I spent the entire book trying to figure out who was behind everything, changing my theory every few chapters, and still getting it wrong. 😭

What amazed me most was how cleverly everything was put together. Every character felt suspicious, every detail seemed important, and the tension just kept building until the very end.

This was my first Agatha Christie, and now I’m genuinely so excited to read more of her work because if this is where I’m starting, I can only imagine how good the rest are. 📚✨

The ending?
Absolutely brilliant.

⭐ 5/5 stars ⭐

A masterclass in mystery writing and a book that completely deserves its reputation.

🔪🖤 Dark, chaotic, and oddly entertaining.

How to Kill Men and Get Away With It by Katy Brent was definitely a different kind of thriller for me.

The story follows Kitty, an influencer whose life takes an unexpected turn, leading her down a very dark (and surprisingly funny) path. What follows is a mix of murder, satire, social commentary, and plenty of questionable decisions. 😅

What I enjoyed most was the dark humor and how unapologetically chaotic the main character was. The book doesn’t take itself too seriously, which made it a fun and easy read.

That said, I wasn’t completely blown away by it. Some parts felt a little repetitive, and I found myself more entertained than emotionally invested.

Still, it was engaging enough to keep me turning pages and wondering what ridiculous thing would happen next. 👀

⭐ 4/5 stars ⭐

A solid read if you enjoy dark humor, morally questionable characters, and thrillers that lean more toward entertainment than suspense.
