Fancy a little snoop around my studio?

I always have lots of different things on the go in my studio and ping pong between them.

I am lucky/greedy as have lots of desks and spaces where I can sit to try out my ideas and make things.

I always find it strange that people feel the need to try and pigeon hole you as just one thing. We are never just one thing. Anyway, you can put lots of different things in a pigeon hole- it doesn't have to be a pigeon. A pigeon is way too obvious. Maybe put a croissant in a pigeon hole instead.

I just realised that I forgot to include my computer desk in the video (doh). But you can imagine it if you like when you see the shot of all the random shitnacks. As my computer is lurking just below them).

This video is a bit scrappy and my studio is a bit messy. Not really Instagram ready but I'm keeping it reel for my homies 🤙

I've been playing around with these porcelain birds and clumps of flora. Setting up nano scenes and framing them in repurposed little wooden drawers and boxes.

The ones I have added perspex are quite tricky to photograph and look better when my phone face reflection isn't there 😂.

I've got some others I need to finish but it's nice to showcase them in tiny lead roles instead of looking sad in the "don't know what to do with" cupboard of shame ❤️ by @hoonbutton

Some little acrylic on board face paintings I did for artwave. I like to think what they are thinking about. One of them has left the oven on. by @hoonbutton

Woohoo me again.

Thanks to everyone who adopted a block head art doll at Artwave.

Just wondering if Clive's new family are out there if they could get in touch and DM me.

Thanks so much 😁 by @hoonbutton

HUUUUUGE thanks to everyone who visited us over @artwavefestival over the last couple of weeks. It has been a blast and we have loved meeting you all!

There was chat
There was art
There was colour
There was creativity
There was curiosity
There was mooching about
There was fun
There was a silly little dog
There was cake
There was coffee
There was music.

BIG shout out to @claireunderwoodmusic for singing us out in the sunshine on the last afternoon. It was such a beautiful dreamy vibe despite the impromptu Las Vagas Siegfried and Roy tiger stage garnish. (btw just to be clear in first photo i am just introducing Claire and not singing 😜)

Also MASSIVE thanks to my incredible sister @kirstinhodgkinson and niece who as well as providing all of the delicious cakes and refreshments, went well beyond the call of duty by doing SO SO much more... You are both amazing and so much appreciated. I couldn't have done it without you ❤️🙏

High five to everyone who bought something. It makes us so happy to know that our work brings you joy and will be cherished in your homes 😁

Lastly... thank you Georgie, Fiona, Grace and Sam. I have loved having your incredible work up in my house as it looks SO GOOD (and I don't want to take it down!) It's been great championing you all and hearing such well deserved love and positivity for your work. ❤️🙌

We artwaved to the max, we cranked it up to 11.

X

Ps sorry I didn't mean to write a long gushing oscar speech but it's all true 😁 by @hoonbutton

Last day of @artwavefestival today. We've had such a good time meeting you all and sharing our work. Thank you so much to everyone who has visited us. It has been wonderful seeing old friends and making new ones!

If you haven't popped by and find yourself at a loose end today- you know what to do...

As well as all of the beautiful creative eye candy, we have delicious cakes and refreshments galore.

Also going on today we have a super fun creative collage portrait activity from 2pm-3pm (£6pp, places limited).

Then some great live music under the trees in the purple cyclamen with @claireunderwoodmusic at 3.30pm to sing us out in style!

Come and hang out in the garden sunshine. It's going to be lovely 😁x

It may be raining now- but our last weekend of @artwavefestival open house will provide all the sunshine and colour that you need.

Including the warm dulcet tones of the one and only @claireunderwoodmusic on Sunday afternoon at 3.30. Woohoo 🙌 ❤️

So if you prefer more lemon drizzle to just drizzle, and more mooching about instead of rushing than then come along and shine... Will be lovely to see you 😁 by @hoonbutton
