I asked Grant Hart the locations of some of the Hüsker album covers. Went swimming at Cedar Lake in Minneapolis last summer which is the lake on the cover of New Day Rising

Hüsker Dü - Savage Young Dü ‘Skittles’ Ltd Box
Numero Group
100 copies
.
.
.
.
Musically, this is an impressive box showcasing the progression of the band 1979-1983 (basically their pre-SST years). I’ve collected dozens of bootleg tapes of Husker Dü live shows, outtakes etc and this box still had a ton of recordings that never circulated into the tape trading community.
Check out my YouTube/huskerchout page for lots of rare unreleased Hüsker Dü audio (and rare videos) not on the box. .

Hüsker Dü - Land Speed Record
New Alliance Records 1982
1st press with rare insert

I found this one years ago ‘in the wild’ at a Mpls record store. One of my prized Hüsker records. I love that The Minutemen (another all time favorite band) released the Hüsker’s first long player on their New Alliance label. .

Hüsker Dü - Extra Circus
Numero 2017
.
.
.
.
These 5 Metal Circus outtakes were extremely rare until this release.
The band didn’t appear to play any of them live leading up to the recording, as was their custom. .
