Craft therapy for a cause. Learn the basics of the traditional craft of palm weaving and make your own Palm basket with Aunty Sunethra. As part of the workshop series launched to empower and support the craft aunties of the south during these challenging times. Despite all odds (an economic crisis and the first grand child!) for launching her very own @manoris_kitchen_ahangama just a hop and a skip from Galle road….She’s been nourishing her family and the community for over 20 years and now she’s got an authentic feast waiting for you!

During this session you will learn how to up-cycle, design, craft a pair of earrings using up-cycled sea glass and brass and take home a unique pair of earrings made by you!

We are thrilled to invite you to a creative evening with the up-cycling queens Lonali of @houseoflonali and Sara of @alke_19 sharing their love for up-cycling on Friday 24th with 2 unique craft workshops and a sustainable pop up showcasing their recent work at Hope Market, Ahangama.

Give new life to glass left behind, at the jewellery making session from 3.00pm-5.00pm with @nazoorsara You will learn how to up-cycle, design and craft a pair of earrings using sea glass and brass, and take home a pair of unique earrings made by you!

Have a look at @alke_19 to see the beautiful work they do, this is your chance to learn and craft one yourself!

We have curated a unique collection of handcrafted gifts by our talented aunties as well as our latest creative partners….all incredible women who positively impact their communities.
Ranging from our first Aunty powered Linen & Lace collaboration to one of a kind embroidery, contemporary batiks and mindfully made upcycled clothing. There is also quirky jewellery, sustainably made stationary and self care products as well as trendy travel accessories and lots of lovely things for the house!
