thank you @ptfilmfest and to the beautiful city and residents of Port Townsend, Washington for the support of @life.is.a.short_film! From the parade to our moms coming (lol) to meeting people all over the Pacific Northwest to the two sold out screenings to the beach walks it was so beautiful and healing to support and see artists in this setting. Thanks, christy and team for supporting indie film so thoughtfully. I barely wore make up the whole weekend even at the parties. I don’t know why, but that felt relevant to say. Traveling is good for the soul and for the artists heart. and shout out to producer and friend @hopeshanthi for showing me around your stomping grounds and being an epic travel buddy. we’ll be back xx #indiefilm #shortfilm #womeninfilm taken in Port Townsend, Washington by @hopeshanthi

✨Life is (a) Short✨

On the ten-year anniversary of her dad’s death, Frankie reflects on the absurdity of content creation. She would rather end her life than make a short film about death. But is she serious? A twisted look at why we make art through the lens of grief.

Hollywood!! See you soon! So jazzed for our screening at Salute Your Shorts this Saturday 8/22 at 5pm in Hollywood - Block 4 at the Assistance League Theatre. Help us win the audience choice award🙏! It’s an incredibly well-run festival named one of THE 25 COOLEST FILM FESTIVALS IN THE WORLD 2025 by @moviemakermag

Who Should See This?
You should see “Life is (a) Short” if...
-You have been rejected by the entertainment industry a few too many times (all of us, lol.)
-Your dad died and you’re like now what? (sorry, sis.)
-You want to support women in comedy. (bless you!)

I am an alumni from 2017 with my previous short, Sneezy G. Can’t wait to be back for their tenth year! Please say hi… Many of us will be there! #shortfilm #filmfestival #womenincomedy #womeninfilm taken in Hollywood, California by @hopeshanthi

Burbank baddies! that’s a wrap on @burbankfilmfest — kind of chic for your mom to fly in. Kind of chic to go all in on your short film. Kind of chic to work with all women.
🎥
Hope and I attended every day of the festival. We both live in Burbank and loved seeing it on the big screen at @amctheatres that we regularly go to 😍. Loved meeting people from all over. Thanks Burbank FF team for having us!
🎥
And if you missed it, we’d love to see you at @salute_shorts on Saturday, August 22 at 5 PM at the assistance league theater in Hollywood. Kind of chic to be alive. Kind of chic to make art. Life is short! Keep being chic baddies! #momentomori #womenincomedy #filmfestival womeninfilm by @hopeshanthi

Just a little reminder to all my Actor friends out there! Never give up, never give in, and never quit… This felt like such a hug from the universe and a lovely reminder that so often we’re not doing anything wrong…and to just keep going.❤️❤️❤️

A pleasure to meet incredible filmmakers from all over the world 🌎 at @psfilmfest. We played the Market and felt welcome and included. We went to panels, events, screenings and parties that represented Film from every corner of the globe. Highly recommend this community. Producer baddie @psfilmfest HopeShanti was my partner in crime along with @mikemcnamarafilm @heyfestiebestie. Missing Brooke and Gina and the cast. Looking forward to the next festival with @life.is.a.short_film 🎥✨. Stay tuned for @burbankfilmfest on 8.4 at 7pm @amctheatres and our next 10 festivals… where should we go next? #filmfestival #shortfilm #womenincomedy taken in Palm Springs, California by @hopeshanthi
