IN HONOR OF WRITER/ACTOR LARRY LARSON:
A FREE Staged Reading of his Final Play
BIG JULES GETS WHACKED
Monday, October 19, 7:30pm
At the Shakespeare Playhouse and Tavern

////////////
With less than 3 weeks before Election Day, it's the perfect time to step into the dystopian world from the mind of the late Atlanta Theatre icon Larry Larson. Larry was the co-writer of Horizon's The Waffle Palace and Charm School, and was often seen onstage at Horizon in both of those plays and others. This final work is a modern twisted updated version of JULIUS CAESAR, a play with music entitled BIG JULES GETS WHACKED! Featuring veteran actors Clayton Landey, Ric Reitz, Michael Strauss, Bart Hansard, Barry Stoltze, Jen Harper, and LaParee Young as Big Jules along with new young talent rounding out the cast.

It’s a Free event, suggested $10 donation to Open Hand. Cash bar. Parking across the street from the Shakespeare Tavern at Emory Midtown Hospital.

RSVP recommended but not necessary. Visit eventbrite website, click "Find Events," and search for "Larry Larson." by @horizontheatre

The ICU nurses at Morey Medical Center don’t need another complication, but when money goes missing and fingers point in their direction, everyone’s on their worst and most outrageous behavior.

This wild ride through the lives of five resilient women in healthcare in ATL is funny, poignant, and just the right amount of scandalous, while revealing that the path to healing and redemption is never a straight line.

Inspired by interviews with real nurses in Atlanta. By the writer of the award-winning THE WASH. A Black Women Speaks Commission and a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere. by @horizontheatre
