Magic hour in the garden at our Crescent project. #houcharddesign The space was designed to create a setting for the architecture, so both feel as though they are the perfect companion to the other. The result is a space where life’s tensions immediately melt away. The perfect feeling to come home to.

Perhaps my favorite view of #houchardcountryclub … the layers of pink, the topiary Boxwood (obviously), the rill connecting the spa to the pool, the striped awning over the entry to the bar, a little peak of the pink @sbumbrella umbrella … it just makes me smile! @houcharddesign by @houcharddesign

It’s all in the details, as illustrated in the quiet moments around the garden at this charming River Oaks project.

End of fall in the perennial garden at this Preston Hollow project. Dried seed heads on the Echinacea, Sage and Sedum, late season blooms on the Leucantha Salvia, and Iris and Phlox taking a back seat until next spring. Looked over by a pair of specimen Fringe trees and anchored by an architectural Agave. #houcharddesign 📷 @jeniferbakerstudio by @houcharddesign

The celebration of a Dallas design legend. She leaves beauty in her wake, and as a bonus, happens to be a lovely human being. Congratulations @janshowers on the legacy you have created and the lives you have touched. by @houcharddesign

For a recent project in Cambridge, designer Dan @houcharddesign created a beautiful garden shaped around the different ways it would be lived in, from family gatherings to slower moments looking out onto the garden.

The furniture needed to share that same sense of ease. Substantial and comfortable, but light enough to move when the occasion called for it.

Dan chose Sommerhaus. We asked him what drew him to the collection.

Warm autumn days, poolside. All the relaxation, none of the blistering burn. #houcharddesign by @houcharddesign

Thrilled to say goodbye to triple digit temperatures but hanging on to summer just a little longer. #houcharddesign 📷 @jeniferbakerstudio by @houcharddesign

A destination to perch and look out over the garden. My favorite spot in this Lake Highlands pool garden. #houcharddesign
