This home received a beautiful landscape renovation! Designed by the ever-talented @houcharddesign, the entire front yard and portions of the backyard were reimagined with layers of evergreen hedges, seasonal color, and stately yaupon hollies that will be filled with vibrant red berries by Christmas. 🎄♥️

Our team did a wonderful job overseeing the installation and we’re proud to be maintainting the garden to ensure it matures as intended.

For a recent project in Cambridge, designer Dan @houcharddesign created a beautiful garden shaped around the different ways it would be lived in, from family gatherings to slower moments looking out onto the garden.

The furniture needed to share that same sense of ease. Substantial and comfortable, but light enough to move when the occasion called for it.

Dan chose Sommerhaus. We asked him what drew him to the collection.

Had to share these beautiful shots of one of our favorite projects. 🩵🌿

Curb appeal is such an important part of landscaping, and while this neighborhood is filled with beautiful gardens, this home has a way of putting a smile on your face when you drive by. It feels cheerful and welcoming, ready for trick-or-treaters, piles of pumpkins and Christmas lights. The teams involved in this remodel truly captured the feeling of home. ✨

Pleased to share some images of a recently completed garden room for a longstanding client.

Having completed the renovation of the main house, we turned our attention to the end of the garden, replacing a dilapidated old garage with this beautiful new space.

Designed to feel like a natural extension of the house, it has completely transformed this previously unused part of the garden. #gardenroom #garden #interiordesign #cambridge #periodhouserenovation

On September 16, ABC Stone gathered at @lamercerieny to celebrate the debut of The Natural Edit, a new microcement color collection created by @claudiaafshardesign for @mariusaurenti, exclusively for ABC Stone.

Inspired by the warmth and quiet beauty of the Mediterranean, the five-hue collection brings Afshar’s distinctly personal perspective to material, color, and place.

Now available exclusively through ABC Stone.

What an amazing time was had by all last night at the enchanting Avra Estiatoria restaurant in Dallas. Hosted by @businessofhome and @sunbrella fabrics with over 20 Interior Designers from the Dallas area. The food was delicious as you can see from the menu and the table was flocked with flowers and some of Sunbrella’s newest fabrics. I made some new designer friends which was fun and we all got to take home a floral arrangement wrapped in Sunbrella fabric! Thanks BOH and Sunbrella for a wonderful evening ❤️

Tucked behind our post-graduate accommodation on Brookside, Cambridge, Rose Cottage transforms a neglected and redundant garage into a characterful new garden room, creating a calm and self-contained space at the heart of the garden.

The new building takes its architectural cues from the surrounding outbuildings, using traditional Cambridge buff brickwork, natural slate and carefully considered detailing to give it the appearance of something that has always belonged within the garden. A simple pitched roof and oculus window add a quiet architectural character, while full-height glazed doors establish a strong connection with the newly landscaped garden.

Internally, the compact space has been designed to feel bright, comfortable and surprisingly generous, with a simple palette of painted joinery, timber flooring and traditional detailing. The garden has been completely reworked alongside the building, replacing a tired and underused area with a more structured, biodiverse landscape of gravel paths, perennial planting, mature trees and secluded seating areas.

The result is a small but highly considered addition that makes much better use of the existing garden, providing a peaceful retreat while complementing the character of the original house and its surroundings.

So much of designing homes comes down to the purpose a space serves — a place to eat, to sleep, to prepare meals. But gardens have an inherent magical quality. You’re surrounded by life that’s always growing and changing with the seasons.

It’s a serene “room” where the purpose is to relax, read quietly, connect with nature, wake with the sun, or share a bottle of wine with a friend. Knowing that we’re creating these moments for our clients is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. 🌿

Inside looking out, and outside looking in! 🙌🏻🌿

When your garden is designed well, it extends the square footage of your home. This sunroom opens to a brick patio beneath the shade of a gorgeous live oak canopy. It has an outdoor kitchen and several seating areas for gathering with friends and family. It adds so much livable square footage and serves as an additional living room for the home. 👏🏻

We’re not changing the world here... or are we? 🤔

Every project is an opportunity to transform a home into an oasis. Making a space feel like a vacation every time you step outside might be a small world to some, but to our clients, it can be life-changing.

Why build a fence when you can grow a living wall? 🌿🌿🌿

This hedge of Japanese yews is well on its way to becoming a lush green screen separating this backyard from the driveway. Eventually, it will rise above the little white gate, creating the sweetest entrance to what will feel like a secret garden.

Unlike structural architecture, landscapes are alive and a great (like this one by the talented @houcharddesign) can take years to manifest. And we’re always proud when designers and homeowners trust our team to build and nurture that long‑term vision. 💚
